As I remember from the Wizard World footage description, there was a description of a thug with a bomb inside.

Could it be the fat thug in the background of this pic?

Okay, now in the trailer, we see the Joker clapping in a weird way, but there's some focus on this clapping. Could it be that the rhytmn of the clapping could activate the bomb inside the thug's stomache behind the Joker. I know it's far fetched, but it crossed my mind.

edit:
Changed it to the right festival's name.

Neat idea. Honestly, I was thinking the clapping has something to do with Batman showing up off-camera, but yours is interesting.

Actually, it was in the footage from Wizard World in Chicago. :cwink:

That idea makes perfect sense:

INT. HOLDING, MCU

A bunch of thugs are herded into a jail cell.

DETECTIVE
Look at these ugly bastards.

One of the men walks over, clutching at his belly.

FAT THUGH
I don't feel good.

DETECTIVE
You're a cop killer. You're lucky to be feeling anything below the neck.

FAT THUGH
(agony)
Please. My insides hurt.

DETECTIVE
Step away from the bars.

FAT THUGH
The boss said he would make the voices go away. He said he would go inside and replace them with bright lights. Like Christmas.

DETECTIVE
That's great. Please step-

The Fat Thug COLLAPSES. The Detective grabs his radio.

DETECTIVE (CONT'D)
I need a medic in holding.

It would seem not all the leaked Sides were fake after all. :hoboj:

How come? You mean fake in the sense that Jonah Nolan wrote those but that the scenes will a little different in the final version or that someone wrote those from scratch? Because the Grumpy page and the Bank Manager page are pretty accurate to the prologue excerpt for some details.

Nah, its just that someone on here said that Jonah had stated the Sides were fakes leaked on purpose. I suppose you could call them more rough drafts in light of the Bank Manager stuff from the prologue.

That was my first thought, that it had something to do with the bomb in the thug's stomach. I kind of hope that is what it is because the clapping is just so.. I don't know, can't think of the word here. Well, like Heath said, no empathy.

The thing is that the video puts a lot of focus on it, that's why I came to think about it.

I kinda thought that the Joker was doing some kind of sarcastic clap to whoever showed up off camera.

Maybe,...

Batman
Comissioner - He does make a reference to him in the trailer
Gordon

Those are my ideas. But I do like the thug with the bomb in stomach idea too.

I read the Wizard footage description but didn't read anything about a fat thug exploding. What exactly happened?

I like The Redux's idea, that it's Batman walking in. I initially thought he was clapping after the bomb went off, but there isn't exactly a lot of mayhem, judging from the shots.

I don't like the idea of Batman walking into the police station...especially since Loeb would have him arrested immediately.

Why would Joker set off a bomb a couple feet behind his head?

Well, the leaked pictures already show Batman in an interrogation room with the Joker, so anything's possible.

Why would Joker set off a bomb a couple feet behind his head?

He isn't saying that the bomb would go off right where the thug is in the picture, and maybe since the ER gets down there, he's wheeled off and explodes (while The Joker is being interrogated by Batman). Thus, leaving Batman injured while The Joker escapes -- again.

Mr Clay pointed out that Loeb is in one of the shots of Joker at the police station. Maybe. It's not especially clear

Not if Loeb is dead.

But Joker is caught relatively early on in the movie. So unless Loeb is killed in the first ten minutes...

And that's my only gripe with BB. The fact that Batman is already this big name in Gotham. I wanted him to stay an urban legend to the general populous.

Batman could yunno sneak in with Gordon's help
