Bond girl:

Directed by Cary Fukunaga.

What's the name of the actress you want for your Bond girl?

Nolan got paid $20 million to do Dunkirk, plus a percentage of the profits of that film. I can't imagine EON would grant him either of those things or the creative control that he'd doubtless demand. Plus Hardy is pushing 40, they wouldn't get much of a run out of him.

What? Tom Hardy's 39, DC was 38 when he did Casino. Even with the extended 4 year hiatus after QoS, he still did a 4 film run.

I think Hardy's been aging pretty well, and I think he'll continue to do so. Like how Ford aged gracefully playing Indiana Jones, starting at the tender age of 39. He was 47 in 'The Last Crusade', and it was until like 1999/2000 when he started to look more his age.

Craig started to age dramatically (even with his craggy facial features) when he hit his mid 40's.

With Craig-Bond series, the odd numbered ones are good, the even numbered ones are messes (I think Spectre is better than Quantum of Solace).
Could this be as good as Casino Royale and Skyfall? Or would it be reasonable to expect another Spectre?

EON's new plan is to release these films on a 3-4 year schedule, as opposed to the 2 year schedule they had. While I do believe he's going to do a 5th, that gap between QoS and Skyfall probably hurt his longevity in the role. With their current set up you'd probably get 3 films out of Hardy before he pushes 50, and at this stage I think whoever they get next will be someone they want to keep around for the long haul, so that might mean casting someone younger.

Let's petition for Shia LaBeouf to play the character.
He played the grandson of the original James Bond in Indiana Jones 4.

New film starts of with Q advising 007 has gone missing.

We pan to a sexy but balder man (fassy) puts on sunglasses.

Song from untalented awful britsh artist.

Gun barrel yada yada.

Sam Smith, Adele, Paul McCartney & Wings are untalented?

:loco:

They used to go younger. Connery was 31 when Dr. No started filming and Lazenby was 29 on OHMSS. I'd probably go for someone around their mid-30s. I think someone in their 40s is too old. Not that they can't play the role at that age, but like you are saying, they would be getting too old after only a couple of films at the rate they are making them.

Fun Fact: If Craig does one more film, he'd be in the role longer than any other actor (not counting Never Say Never Again).

If you are all really insistant on Bond in Australia, he'd have to go to Adelaide. Especially since that's where Blofeld is most like to feel comfortable.

Haha oh my gosh no Bond should go to classy and interesting places!

Point Lincoln maybe to swim with the sharks but definitely not bAdelaide.

Melbourne maybe though. I could see him trying to track someone down through the MCG or maybe going to one of the beaches. Even over to the bush maybe? Wilsons prom, that sort of thing

If I see anybody hating on Adelaide, I'm gonna start dishing out Van Damme kicks.

If Craig wants to continue, I hope he stays on. Seems like he's cooled down over the past comments. It sounded more like he was exhausted after a long shoot.

To be fair, to any level-headed person that's all his comments should ever sounded like if the context was taken into account - it's the media who've whipped this whole thing up and made a situation out of almost nothing, with the folks who never liked DC as Bond in the first place/folk who think he's now too old/folk who just simply want to see someone else in the role stoking the fires.

I'd like Craig back for another film. He's only 48 so he's not too old yet. I'm just saying if they are casting a new Bond, someone who is already in their mid-40s by the time they start is not a good idea.

What countries do you wanna see Bond visit? I wanna see him go to Canada.

Yes. As a matter of fact I just came back from offering a 'tribute' to her.

-Canada.
-Japan (having rewatched The Wolverine the other day, Bond in modern-day Japan would be cool).
-Australia and New Zealand.
-South Africa.

The Bond films have interesting pattern. Well the ones with long-running actors (Dalton and Lazenby weren't around long enough for this to count for them).

-The first two movies both either have kind of an overarching plot, or at least some thematic elements in common.
-The third movie is standalone (or in the case of Skyfall, originally meant to be standalone), but nevertheless define that particular take on the character for many people.
-The fourth movie is inferior and takes what was good about the last three and messes them up.
-They start out smaller in scale, and then get progressively bigger/more ridiculous. To the point that there's a backlash and the filmmakers feel the need to scale back the next movie as a consequence.

Connery, Moore, and Craig all had this happen to them (Brosnan is an outlier since most people see his first film as being his best).

I kinda want them to go a GoldenEye route and have Bond take on a rogue 00 agent.

Of course, we might have already gotten that in Silva, but I don't think he was ever actually a 00 agent. Unless I missed something there.
