Borderlands

Eh, I'd prefer post-apocalyptic settings than WWII. At least you can get some creative variation in post-apocalyptic settings. WWII's just WWII, all the time. Sure, they can add zombies or Nazi magic into it, but it's still WWII. You're inevitably going to see French resistance fighters, the storming of Normandy, etc.

Besides, this game reminds me of the Wasteland mod for Half-Life, which I played a lot back in high school before the modders stopped supporting it and the servers dried up.

I think the boxart is crap. Not sure why everyone likes it so much sure its a creative piece but doesn't really strike me as front cover material. More like back of the box material.

It's a lot more visually interesting than most other covers I see. The "splatter" thing could be a bit bigger to show off more of the game or they could've had different elements of the game included around it rather than a simple red background, but the concept is really cool.

Your criticism was much more constructive than mine, lol. As a graphic design student I see a lot of missed potential with the cover. I agree with you though it would be fine if it had a few more things going for it. I'd be interested to see the other designs he or she threw out.

I studied some art in college, but I've thrown most of that out and gone back to just looking at what pleases the eye or does something interesting or unusual. That cover hits the latter really well and, although it is a bit empty with all that unused background space, it's still pleasing.

The art is there for one thing and one thing only, to catch an individuals eye. The red background and the "brain" splatter does just that.

Borderlands Claptrap Web Series ep.1 :wow:

L.O.L

Was that a play on the whole Christian Bale thing?

Haha whatever it was, it was great.

Um, yeah, I think it's safe to say that was a play on the Christian Bale thing. Unless there are other actors who've gone apes*** crazy over the crew on their movies lately. :hehe:

Was Claptrap yelling about his cervix at the end? :funny:

Definately Christian Bale. I think I caught a little Bill O'Reilly in there as well. :hehe:

Borderlands: Claptrap Web Series 2

I liked the first more, but it's good to see the black humour maintained in the second instalment. :yay:

I loved these too little videos :hehe: Can't wait to play this (probably in 2010..)

Hmm. I'll probably stick with one of the console versions, myself. Those extra features don't really do much for me, and I have a feeling I'd end up neglecting the game on the PC since I've been playing my consoles much more for a while now.

It´s not one of those games i´ll get as soon as it gets out, but i will, in time...

I´m a big fan of Gearbox

I like Gearbox, but I don't play with others. So I'll pass.

I think that a Post-Apocoliptic WWII game would be AMAZING.
