I'd say the new DLC is worth the money, there are alot of quests and zombies are different from any of the bad guys we've seen yet.

Anyone else notice the "Legendary Weapons" vending machine? It looks like it needs a power core or whatever it is those things need on the side. I'm hoping this is the easy way to get a bunch of sweet weapons.

said as much . But the bright side is it'll give you time to work on those other characters you didn't use that much yet like in my case my hunter and siren. I used Roland alot in my first run and made it to 50 with my buddy's. seeing that the guys your facing are tougher including the last boss it tougher then the first main story missions, you should make it to high levels really fast with those unused characters. Can't wait to get this update. man they better announce it for steam. Damn it.

I guess i am one of those that played it a lot so I guess I've been playing the longest. It as most of the reviews stated. the game shins in multi player mostly. you can do it solo yes but the out come you get as in weapons the increased damage and accuracy they do is higher in multiplayer. and the enemies you fight are tougher. and your reward better when playing with your buddy's then you are in solo.

I guess I'd suggest solo if your behind your buddy's some how play through wise like if you had to take your pc to the shop for what ever repair you needed done at the time. Oh BTW I 'd like for them to allow the join thing on steam to allow you to join a persons game on the server they set up like you have for l4d and l4d2. That's the only thing I don't like about this system they have .

I mean if you have it on steam it'll just make things easier to join some ones game for their own play through.

The whole set up process to doing so in this just for this game is kinda annoying. And what's the point of having these games on steam if you only can do that for games like l4d and l4d2 . mine was store bought and I'm able to add it to steam and old/ new game for pc i have . everyone else I know bought border lands on steam and found the online part to allow people to join their game a bit tedious or annoying. man we had to change our ports at times to get people we play with alot already to join in this game. It was a hassle. and people hate hassles.


I'm just saying if you got a system that allows to play games like steam does they should have allowed you to play all games that way. not just the ones valve made.


OK that's my only complaint on this.

Other then that it's still a sweet game.

Yes gamespy is awful, steam would have been a far better option.
They went a bit overboard with the depth of field.

Well, I went ahead and bought it from Amazon on PS3. That way I'll have access to online play to try it out.

I would have looked at getting this on PC, but my laptop is pretty out of date as far as gaming is concerned. I didn't know PC got the DLC for free, though. Does that include the whole Zombie stuff that just came out

I would recommend getting it for the console either way, assuming the multiplayer component isn't as shoddily implemented. Me and buddy attempted a game online (via steam overlay) and it just kept timing out constantly, for a game so much focused on multiplayer the decision to use gamespy and terrible interface pretty much killed it for me.

lol kez just said it's sell ing for 20 $ on steam now. you better get going on that dark vic. while it lasts. as to the on line player here's what to do

borderlands server set up.

Type:
ipconfig in command prompt

go to your brower and type
http://192.168.1.1/


type your
"admin name " which is your net work name/ web key for internet/ for game spy account.

password : same as admin. your server should be set up. (should be ing the technical word here)

if you have any Internet savvy buddies that managed to work it bring them over to your place and have them set it up for ya. other wise it's time to flood the forums of both valve and gear box and tell them to do what i suggested up top. and make it easier on every one.

cause as kez knows this is annoying. and they knew they were gonna put it on steam any way. they said as much in interviews. not sure why didn't bother. or why both them abd valve are bad at leaving instructions for things, at times.

oh before I for get my buddy told me that the host lobby /servers were based on the "unreal tournament" ones. So you should also find people that have played that to get your hosting servers working on this game.

Other wise it's as i said flood gear box's and valves forum and tell them to to make that thing joinable through steam. as a option. people like options.

They just should have done that from the jump and made things easier on the costumers. And for future things refference wise as well.

No in-game option for v-sync, DX10 or anti-aliasing outside of the games config file.
That little robot thing at the main game screen is incredibly irritating, I don't think they could have possibly picked a more irritating game mascot if they tried.

he's supposed to be for jokes for the in game main story. But if it's showing up in a serious matter such as what your seeing/saying I can see why your annoyed.

This is why it's better to deal with people. like I said before head to the forums. they must have people that help with tech issues. their supposed to. hmm i suggested alot.

we'll be getting new addistions to our skill trees. it would be cool if they raise the level cap though. this will haveto do for now i guess.

for now we're getting a bank for our very rare guns(so no more tossing your fave guns for higher more powerful ones if you want if you have a certain attachment to a few of them) and two news slots for the skill threes for now. as the top link said. I wish there was a new raised level cap. may be in the third DLC. We'll have to see.

Yeah, they said they were working on it right? They wanted to make sure it didn't break the game.

I myself really only care about the bank to store my guns. I started selling some because I never used them and didn't know if I ever would.
