I am not a Boston fan. I just find it strange that they even lose. It was a NY Yankee style quick building process, that got them a championship. They went from 0-60 basically. This includes how they all the sudden got fans again too.

I mean now they have Garnett, Marbury, Pierce, and Allen. Wtf

It is a friggin all star team that should never lose.

Hell even West, Chamberlain, Goodrich and Baylor lost on occasion... The Celts ain't that good or that invincible.

Dont forget Rajon.

I smell a bitter fan.

How many franchises sell out every game even though they are losing 70% of those games? I can name one. Toronto Maple Leafs.

Fan bases are all the same. You win and people show up.

Miami's all-star team in 2006 would beat Boston's current all-star team (of course I'm talking about if all parties involved were in their prime)

Dwyane Wade, Shaquille O'Neal, Alonzo Mourning, Gary Payton...Antoine Walker :hehe:

I really don't understand the sudden rise of Celtics hate.

Win & people hate you. It's easy.

Yeah, but they won last season, and all this season. The hate increased once KG started making funny faces during the playoffs and Rondo became public enemy #1.

What has Marbury done since he has been with them....really? Other than not cause a disruption. The guy is off his game, wants to contribute too much by passing the ball and passing up his shot and not being aggressive.

Plus the Celts as good as they are are not one of the greatest teams of all time, not even top 10 or maybe even top 20 and no team has gone better than MJ's bulls 72-10.

So relax.

A team always loses in the All Star Game.

It's not hate at all. It is the simple fact that everything is turned around, because of ridiculous all star trades. In a single year they go from one of the worst, to first. It wasn't because of amazing coaching, or a great team effort. I mean they won 42 more games after acquiring all stars Garnett and Allen. Of course they should have won the championship, they would have to shut down the franchise if they lost with those players. My problem with them, they aren't even a team. Just a group of all stars that shouldn't lose.

Not when it is an all star team vs a regular team.

An all star team, that is able to practice with eachother as a unit, should beat a regular team every time.

how many games have Pierce/Garnett and Allen actually all participated in this year? It seems like at least one has been hurt and hardly ever have all 3 on the floor in the same game. Garnett's been hurt a lot this year.

They're winning because the team is playing team basketball. When the three were the stars of their former teams, they had to do the most work, now they can just play off each other.

Exactly. I mean, it's pretty amazing, they put their egos aside, committed to playing defense and played as one, lead by a rookie point guard. It's real easy to say they're just a collection of superstars and they should win, but that's how most championships are won. Kobe and Shaq, Shaq and Wade, the big 3 in San Antonio. All the same situations. Hell, you can argue that if you have Robert Horry on your team, you're bound to win a championship. I don't understand the concentrated hate on the Celtics. And it's not because they're winning, it's because they're losing that baffles me.

And this notion that trading for them is bad or something. I thought that was the point. The team sucked, the player sucked, so they trade sucky players for good players, so team gets better. What exactly is the problem. Even the Yankees lost games in their glory years.

i mean, honestly, what team would not try to put together a roster like the celtics have right now. you get a chance to sign a Ray Allen or a Kevin Garnett, you do it!

the fact that they were led by a rookie like Rondo (who has had an awesome year this year too) and the fact that Garnett isn't even playing right now, it really shows that they are playing as a team. They got people like Perkins and Big Baby, or Eddie House, players who names you prolly wouldn't even know of if they were on diff rosters. and those guys are stepping up BIG TIME.

i love watching teams who play team ball, which is why i really like the Celtics and the newly revamped Billups Nuggets

Word.

They're a good team that has faltered a bit due to injuries. A perfect season is never going to happen in the NBA, so the notion of any team not losing a game is ridiculous. The Celtics are not the only team with 2 or 3 superstars on them.

But the things is they are not an All-Star team, they are not playing just regular teams. They are playing other professionals that come to play the same as they do.

If you have that mentality you must also still think that USA should never lose a basketball game when they play international competition.

Some nights your team's shots just don't fall. On that same night the other team could just be playing out of their minds. Get it through your thick skull that these Celtics are not that good.

Jordan's bulls never went undefeated, Russel's Celtics never went undefeated. Chamberlain's Lakers never went undefeated. And so on and so forth.

It's just waaaaay to hard to do. Too many games and too many opportunities for teams to beat you.

This celtics team is the epitome of a team, three superstars put their egos aside and learned to play with one another in a way the capitalizes all their strengths while in the meantime also bringing in some young guys like rondo, davis, powe, etc and allowing them to begin to find their own games while playing with proven veterans and youve seen the results, rondo has developed into an all-star caliber point guard (which i bet almost no one saw coming two years ago) and both davis and powe have grown into solid NBA players, it just shows that things are working, i think they have a few more (at least two) good years together as a core group and are my very very early pick to win the east next year, that said they guy who said they should go undefeated obviously knows nothing about basketball and theirs no point to arguing with him, there will never ever be an undefeated NBA team ever plain and simple, jus like it will never happen in the MLB or NHL, there are just too many games and other teams are too talented, you saw the patriots prove you can't do it in a 16 game NFL season with playoffs how the hell could you expect a team to go 82-0
