Bought/Thought 10/29

I've decided that I'll never be ahead of the curve. But if I stay far enough behind it, it will whip around and appear as though I'm ahead of it the second time.

You really need to get on with your life.

How did you come to that conclusion? We're all posting on a superhero forum. To most that could be seen as wasting life.

This is a passive past time of mine. Its not as if I lose sleep over this, really.

Seeing as I did find out, your point is moot.

Here's a thought: Why don't you realise a bad agenda's a bad agenda from the get-go and Marvel are d!cking themselves over. It's like watching a car crash in slow motion.

You found out after I told you. You just don't want to admit that you acted snooty about something you didn't read and didn't get the whole story on and you're being way too stubborn to admit it.

I'm a Taurus.

Still, this is the last i'll say on the matter- Marvels dropping the ball constantly. There is no great mystery in shoving a no-body into Peter's life who PRETENDS to be his long lost [and non existent wife] and emulates her down to a tee. The fact is, Marvel isnt taking risks lie they are with Captain America etc. It seems to me the stroies are being restricted to fit into an agenda...and it seems to me there wont be any real development with Peter- he'll stay in a perpetual loop. That...well, will get old [if it hasnt already] soon enough.

Havign said all that, Stan and Ditko both had different reservations about the Goblin's identity back in the day. Maybe the same prospect is happening here- albeit with Jackpot.

blah.

chow.

I would agree about Marvel and how badly they are handling their comics....but Nova, GOTG, Captian America, Daredevil, Uncanny X-Men, X-Men Legacy, and Annihilation says different.

They have made some blunders, but they are not doing as bad as most would like to think.

Yeah. i'm talking about the way theyre treating Spidey.

Got a couple issues, read through just a few:

SI Thor: I am epically disappointed in this. The first issue was good. The second was ok. This issue was pretty bad. Little happened with the exception of a bunch of unexplained **** about BRB. Thor looked pretty weak (his magics were holding asgard up, why did he...?). Loki was no where to be found which just made zero sense (the skrulls kill gods, loki would defend asgard against that or do something). This issue had nothing to offer, no changes that would effect Thor in anyway, and you could skip the entire thing and not miss a beat. It's sad when deadpool has a far more relevant, thought out and useful tie-in. Fraction has some pretty writing and I could see the beginning of a clever concept, but without relevence or more thought it came out half assed at best.

ASM Annual (flipped through out of morbid curiosity): hahahahaha! damn I'm glad I'm not reading this. It turns out jackpot the character nobody wanted is someone nobody knows and is now irrevalent. People who bought this must feel like they were on the losing end of a three card monte game repeatedly.

More later when I've got some reading time (houseguests suck in all but the good way).

Dude. Don't get into this...they're waiting for new meat. :csad:

Look at your post count dude...when was the last time you bathed? :ninja:
I wear extra deodorant. The flies aren't so bad once you get used to them. :o

Old Spice Red Zone?

As far as I'm concerned X-Men Legacy doesn't exist for two months. When the comic returns from hiatus we get the reunion of Xavier and Juggs.

All the build up, hype, and theories for that? :whatever:

Yep. Interesting indeed. :whatever::csad:

[BLACKOUT]Also, why emulate a supermodel to be a superhero? Yeah, you get good fashion sense...but it doesn't exactly scream 'hero'...[/BLACKOUT]

I agree except that I think Loki's dealings with the Skrulls will probably be covered in SI itself. Granted, there could've been at least an appearance by Loki in the tie-in, but it was pretty clearly a Beta Ray Bill/Thor story. Of course, that just makes your point about the unexplained Bill situation even worse. Yeah, this was pretty mediocre all around except for the art.
Old Spice Red Zone?
I tried it because Bruce Campbell told me to, but I switched back to Gillette a few weeks ago.

My sentiments exactly.

Close, but I don't have that much stubble.

As a side-note, to anybody who bothered reading it, when Jackpot listed off the cocktail of drugs she was taking to be a super-heroine (HGH,MGH), the last one she listed was a cox-2 inhibitor (Celebrex is the most well-known example). That's one of the test substances that we work with in our lab. So, shiiiiite, I'm gonna make me a superhero.
