Bought/Thought 4/11

Thats not what I asked. And I have a nice ass, thanks for noticing.

LOL, none the less you and I clash to much. I have a opinion you don't agree with you, and you say my opinions are meaningless or dumb etc, and we proceed to argue. You and I are to old to me carrying on like a bunch of kids.

There are no two ways about it. Nova is cursed. Not only has he failed three times, but he's also failed three times in helping out the sales of New Warriors. (and, sure, the last one was a limited series. But, hardly anyone read it, and if it was popular, it would have had another mini, at least. At least it did help in getting a nice start to Civil War.)

Did any of those titles spin out of Annihilation?

none of the above series is as terrific as annihilation, however

i bought

Loners 1 - pretty good start to the mini; i liked the excelsior storyline from runaways

Nova 1 - haven't read it yet

Wonder Woman 7 - my gf is a HUGE Picoult fan; she got the last ish then purchased back issues of 1-5 (she also loves Grey's, so Heinberg was an easy sell). I bought this for her, so she gets to read it first tonight. The new series has been solid so far - I try to read it from her perspective (someone who has never really read comics)

To me, Marvel blows dude, every one has their own opinons :o

**** Nova :cwink:

But your opinion is clearly biased as you hate the whole company in general. And really, come on you're Double Ass, there really isn't anymore to say.

And you think Beechin is a better writer than Johns, I like Marvel, not on the level you do, but every one has their own opinions, so shut the **** up.

**** that! I hate Beechin.

Now Beechen is a pretty good writer, but I never said he was better than Johns, because he's not.

And seriously, you got pwned by Gail Simone, you need to shut the **** up.:whatever:

Hey assassin old buddy, what happened with Gail simone?

He was talking **** about her on another messageboard and gail Simone pwned his ass, its all quite comedic.

Nova was a decent read. Though I don't understand how he all the sudden landed on earth, right next to the SHIELD helicarrier. *shrug*

Annihilation was really good. But, this just shows Nova has a terrible track record. It's a safer bet to think his series won't last past issue #24. People just don't get excited about Nova, and in the whole context of Annihilation, he definitely wasn't one of my favorite characters in that story. Plus, just because something says Annihilation doesn't mean it's going to either be good or stay good. Annihilation: Herald's of Galactus isn't anywhere as good as Annihilation, and it's clearly being made in hopes to get money from the Annihilation bandwagon. With that title, there is no cohesive story, just two short stories in each issue.

Iron Fist has a terrible track record as well, he has his own book too and its really good. Go figure, look to the present not the past.

All-Star Superman once again was a great read. It makes me sad that this is only a bi-monthly title.

My shop sold out of the Transformers Movie Prequel and Loners. The latter I wasn't yet sold on, but the former I'm loving and I'm really pissed I missed it.

"Past behavior is indicitive of future events." Plus, Iron Fist was very successful in the 70's. His solo book was combined with Power Man, and they lasted for 125 issues. He wasn't around for ages, because he was supposedly dead. Then, he's only had 4 miniseries since then; unlike Nova who had ongoing series that got cut prematurely.

Anyway, a good comic will lead to Nova's success, just like with Iron Fist. BUT, so many comics start out good, then they change writers and artists, and it goes down hill from there. (See New Warriors and Generation X.) I'm definitely getting Nova; I'm just saying that he's been given a lot of chances and hasn't shown the ability to hold readers. (Plus, how good was Annihilation's numbers? I'm wondering how well Nova's numbers will be after issue #1, considering Annihilation wasn't read by as many people as I thought should be reading it.)

It is a really good title; but, I'm really wondering where the book is going. It seems like the focus of the first two issues of this title has turned into telling really good single issue stories. Plus, the All Star line is hurting with only having the one comic coming out.

Meanwhile, I'm really loving the Confidential line, too. I have to catch up on Superman Confidential, but love Batman Confidential and Batman squaring off against Lex Luthor.

Well the thing is with All-Star Superman is that each issue follows the main story line Superman dying, but if you read issue 3 it talks about Superman completing 12 great things before he dies and from that issue 4-7 can be read as a stand alone story but as well ties in to the main plot because once Superman completes these 12 great things he is suppose to die. So I like what is going on with this book. But it does hurt the All-Star line when only one title is coming out. I just now wonder who is taking over All-Star Superman once this team is done.

It shows him wearing it in a quick flashback shot on the final page, but he's stripped down to his black skull tee in the final scene.Judging from the final scene,I don't think the suit lasted that long.

Interesting! I'll pick it up along with New Avengers and Loners.
