Deadly Genesis- I guess I'm pretty much of the opinion of everyone else, but I thought I'd talk about what I did like about it:
I liked the idea of revisiting Krakoa, and that their was another team involved. What I would've liked to see was some kind of explanation as to why Wovie, etc. were't the 1st choice, and why prof X thought they would fare any better. Similar to what a lot of people, including myself, say about BMB, I really liked the idea, but was less enthused about the execution.
I liked the short set-ups for each character at the end of each issue. Short and to the point.
I really liked the end, with Vulcan speeding off in space, with D'Ken on his mind. That scene does make me excited about the new Uncanny. I loved the space stuff, and can't wait to see what Bru does with it.
I don't really have a problem with Banshee, as I'm sure he'll be back. And I don't have a problem with Prof X being "kicked out" either. I hope he stays human for a while (5 or more years our time). I would like to see what kind of a role he would play in what's happening in Civil War, since he's always been a public figure(expert in genetics), and recently, a publicly known mutant.
Other than that, it was a story that I would've rather seen shoe-horned into one of the ongoing x-titles. I mean, why couldn't this story have been the first few issues of Bru's Uncanny?
