I think the problem with splitting up the characters is that people's favorite characters almost inevitably end up with some writer who sucks or an artist who makes the book unreadable or whatever. I mean, I'd love a comic where it's just the original five plus Nightcrawler, Cannonball, Cecelia Reyes, and Colossus, but what are the odds I'd ever get that and have it be written and drawn well?

Hey Corp, they would actually make that book... Although with Loeb 'writing' it and Land doing the 'art' for it.

Joey Q finds your tears delicious. Just wait for the Thor vs. Batman crossover!:cwink:

I've had nightmares about that. Thor goes down in round 2 to a dose of anti-pagan spray and a nerve pinch. :(

Oh yeah, I read Ambush Bug #1 yesterday. I had no exposure to the character other than some web articles about who he was and a couple Giffen interviews where he was mentioned, but I loved the issue. Some of the jokes were pretty forced, but the overall irreverence and satire were pretty funny. iLol'd.

Whoo! Glad you read it. I always love self-satirical work. DC deserved a lot of those jokes. :p

They could team up on, like, Thunderbolts or some other piece of crap. But they should never tarnish the likes of Beast or Iceman or Cecelia Reyes.

Isn't Cecelia Reyes still considered "Missing"? She had a brother on the SENTINEL O*N*E* squad who was looking for her.

I didn't mind her; out of many newer mutant characters, she wasn't bad at all. Plus, it allowed another mutant besides Beast to be in medical scenes (at least before Elixir).

She needs to come back and just be the in-house doctor for the X-Men, like how Anne was during Austen's run (I know, I know, but that one particular part of it was actually not a bad idea). Beast can't do it (even though they portray him in that role all the time) because he actually goes out on missions with the X-Men all the time. Cecelia never liked adventuring, so it fits her character to hang out at the X-Mansion or the San Francisco mansion or whatever.

Marvel needs to get on this idea.

Plus she can save her own ass if anyone does attack the infirmary. I've missed her and Marrow from the team. :(

Poor Maggott. He got on the team at the same team as those two, but nobody actually cares about him. :(

The relationship they were building between Marrow and Cannonball was great...sort of a semi friendship.

Yea, I didn't like Maggot so much.
