BOUGHT/THOUGHT July 25th

But mine's at the top of the new page, so whose do you think people will see and remember? :oldrazz:

She said "new readers.":whatever:

Of which you might be one. New to the skill of reading, that is

Well, heavens to betsy, let's cater to only new readers all the time! F continuity or legacy or any of that meaningless crap. How dare they???

Just to address because I didn't notice it the first time around.

People need to lay off the Tony hate and actually read the issues once in a while.

Tony did not make his weather "machine" with the intention of it being used in a weapon. It says it in the issue Tony was planning to do things like end starvation with it.

Except I did read the issue . I know what Tony had planned for it, but never used it for that purpose. I'm sorry but it is a Doomsday device the way Ultron is using it, I was kidding partially when you took so much offense. Still tho if I built a tank to protect someone, and someone stole it and killed 3 families with it, does that mean the tank is still being used for protection? I like IM, but he built a device that can cause fires, famine, tornadoes, tsunami's, hurricanes, droughts, massive thunderstorms and so on, even if he meant for it to grow crops.

Edit - BTW if you read half the comments, you'd get that I was angry that Tony's being retconned into building all these things that can cause global catastrophe's, and how it's being revealed he's been doing these things for years. I like IM, I don't like what Marvel's been doing with him since CW. Some ppl take things too serious and defend too quickly lol, I really wasn't bashing IM as much as what Marvel is doing with IM. They even had Ms. Marvel comment on Tony building that like he was planning something far more sinister.

There's only been four issues of the Initiative instead of five? No wonder I lost interest.

That's fine, i expect nothing less from an elitist blowhard who loves himself and his wit more than life itself, and spews his self importance all over people who could really give a crap.

The LAST person I need to defend myself to is the one I care the LEAST about.

If someone can't keep up with the history of the comics they are reading, THEN GO READ THE FRIGGING BACK ISSUES. God forbid, you might actually stumble upon something like Kingdom Come and LIKE IT. WHOA! DUDE!!!

That's because he wasn't done with it. The Stark robot said the project was 5 years from completion.

I agree with most of this you said except for the last bit.

I took Ms. Marvel's remark to be more like "Damn it Tony, how could you be stupid enough NOT to think somebody would use his satellites like this".

Christ you two are gay. And I'm sitting here writing about Severus Snape's lack-of-redemption while listening to the Hairspray soundtrack so, yes, I know a little something about gay.

Indeed, yet.....

Here you are, defending yourself. And sorry, but NEW comic book readers shouldn't have to go back issue diving to understand a ****ing comic book story. While resources like Wikipedia and countless websites do exist, most casual fans checking out a comic or two are not going to do all that work. And believe it or not, the industry needs NEW readers to survive. So who's being elitist now?:o :o :o

The recent one of course. No one cares about the 80s.

Well I admit I could have misread Ms. Marvel's statement. She said, "Oh my God!", followed by "&^$# Tony stark", so I took it more as her cussing him out because she's finding out more and more.

Pym took a far harder beating in this issue tho lol. They call him down there, and Ms. Marvel says in a thought bubble that if he can't find a solution he should just kill himself. Wasp has a few bad thought bubbles aimed at him. Then he gloats on how smart he is in that field and is put down again lol.

BTW I do agree with one of the earlier statements, MA uses too many thought bubbles. Instead of telling a characters feelings, thoughts, or emotions towards others thru actual words or actions, it's told with a tiny thought bubble at the end of each statement. Half of them, if not more, are basically, a "**** you!" from one teammate to another. I do like Mighty Avengers, but gotta admit I was expecting more of a classic Avengers feel. Where there would be animosity, but not the entire team hating the guts of everyone else.
