Countdown #47
Okay, this issue felt a whole lot better to me, I don't know, maybe it was just that the Black Adam scene finally got resolved after last week's sluggish installment but things seemed to at least be headed somewhere. Still, I wish this series was moving in real-time. I mean the Black Adam stuff has taken only a few minutes to unfold while for Jimmy hours (days?) have passed. Everything just felt more organized back then.
Avengers: The Initiative #3
Damn fine issue and an awesome Spider-Man appearance. The ending with Komodo begging to not have her powers taken was moving. Also, I'm looking forward to see who Hardball (?) was talking with. Hydra, AIM, who?
Slott does a great issue presenting the registration act as a mixed bag.
The Scarlet Spider army certainly has potential to be a cool force in the Marvel universe.
Oh and the usual cry of Slott for Amazing Spider-Man!
Iron Man #18
Finally, some action. This issue was a fantastic climax to an arc that I really haven't been crazy about. I mean the thing was dragging so bad, but the last issue was just awesome.
Plus there were a few great one-liners.
"FREAKING RIGHT NOW"
and that montage over all the people's he lost that ends with "I am Iron Man" was cool.
Definitely looking forward to seeing this plot picked up after the World War Hulk tie-in ends.
My only problem is I don't get how Maya could just hook up with a private company. I thought she was only out of jail because she was working with SHIELD and Stark. Did I miss something?
Still, the best issue by far since Civil War ended.

I'll be reading Ms. Marvel and Marvel Zombies tomorrow. Definitely looking forward to that.
