The really good thing is that that is over a third of THE ISLAND'S final box office take in the US.
Wow, nice hold for Ratatouille too!
But...BUT...BUT...Transformers did that with just 3 blocks of screenings starting at 8pm
TAKE THAT!!!! MUAHAHAHAHAH!!!
for a monday night premiere, that's pretty damn impressive if you ask me...
Awesome! I hope it will keep going higher and higher
i didnt know 8mil was any good......... i guess it is...LOL
LOL agreed....I'm over at the Spidey threads so not used to 8 mil.t:t:
8 Mill on a Monday night opening is REEEALLY good, more so since most people have to work in the morning.
Already more than the 1986 animated film
most of the people i know didn't even know there were monday night showings.
This is now the official box office thread, any updates post em in here
Great start for the film
Yup, this is true. I was talking to my fellow guild members in WoW after I got back last night and most of them had NO clue there was a Monday night showing. Most thought tonight at Midnight.
haha yeah.. sam raimis coffee cup cost more than that!t:
But unlike Spidey 3...transformers didn't blow goats.
8 mil isn't a landslide by any means but for a monday night, i'd say it's a great start. hopefully today will show promising numbers...
My theater was packed and the crowd loved it. This film will do big box office
mine as well...
i got there 4hrs in advance and i still wasnt first in line
Good to hear, it may not break records but it'll make a whole lotta mojo!
By 3 blocks, I am assuming you mean 3 different showings starting at 8, to that I say only 3?? The theaters around me had 5 or 6 different showings starting at 8pm.
I naturally had to go to the firstt:
