Funny, I think men are pretty simple creatures: there´s a joke that illustrates it:

How do you make a woman happy: Always tell her you love her, help with the house work, bring a gift from time to time, say nice things about her mom, take her to a romantic dinner from time to time, surprise her with a big romantic gesture, listen to her concerns, etc.
How do you make a man happy: Show up naked and bring beer.
