BP to Storm: "Anyone but Wolverine" on WATX#24 (Preview)

He can't have an STD you silly goose. He's got a healing factor. If anything he should have cured the AIDS virus in the Marvel Universe by now.

Storm is just a freak obviously..........

Girls just like the bad boys....... I hope TChalla finds a "good" woman someday....

Well count me in as someone who has no problem whatsoever with Wolverine and Storm officially becoming a couple. Especially since they've had a long standing history of ship-teasing and sexual tension established by Chris Claremont himself.

I could care less honestly. Some folks I'd rather see date outside the hero community with normal folks and Storm and Wolverine are def 2 of those people. Wolverine should never be tied down with a chick. He should do nothing but run around, drink beer, fight and bang bang BANG.

Their momentary hookup this week worked ok inside the confines of the story Aaron wanted to tell but I was way more interested in Kitty/Bobby, Idie/Broo and Quire/Teen Jean.

The Rachel/Angel/Doop/Warbird/Deathlok thing could be very interesting. :woot:

I have no idea what's going on with Storm in WatXM. Is she having some kind of mid-life crisis? She just seemed weird.

Eh, she's gone thru these phases more often than not. It depends on what Storm the writer prefers.

Well, to me, the implication is that Storm is trying to reassert her individuality and independence that she feels she lost during her marriage with Black Panther. And let's face it, Ororo's marriage to T'Challa had the unfortunate side-effect of turning a character who was, at one time, the co-leader of the X-Men, into a glorified side-kick for Black Panther. What we're seeing now is essentially course correction, what with her now becoming the new headmistress, becoming the leader of Uncanny X-Force and the X-Women (that's what the upcoming X-Men really should be called given the line-up) getting back the mohawk and hooking up with Wolverine in spite of Black Panther telling her not to--it's Marvel's way of trying to make her the character she used to be prior to her marriage.

Yeah....a freak

Hmm. I guess. I never really cared for Storm, to be honest, so her feeling odd to me may just be because I haven't been exposed to her much lately. I'm actually not a big fan of most of the teaching staff in WatXM, except for Beast and Iceman. The students and the humor are what keep me reading.

Wolvie and Storm have been paired in enough alternate realities that this feels natural enough to me that I don't mind this at all.

That wouldn't effect AIDs. It works because our healing cells don't recognize it, it appears as something that isn't a sickness so no matter how many white blood cells you have it just passes the virus by without a glance. Herpes also can't be cured. Wolverine should be on a do not touch list by the health department.

I beg to disagree. it's still a virus. So Wolverine may have it but will be cured and will also have an antidote for it.

It's a virus that doesn't become effected by your immune system because it appears to be part of your immune system. So unless his immune system attacks itself no healing factor would work on it. Now that said his healing factor would repopulate his white blood cells therefore negating any ill effects of the virus but he would still very much be a carrier.

It's also been established there is no cure for AIDs in the MU. There is in the DCU but marvel commented that would be in poor taste to have a cure for it and withhold it.

So now we're just in the era of horny, aggressive Storm?

Judging by the interviews with the writer for the all-female X-Men, we are entering an era of a horny and aggressive every X-Men female character ever.

smh

Eh, unsurprising, I guess. Indie writers do seem to love having their characters knock boots. There was a hell of a lot of sex in Wood's Northlanders and DMZ, too.

I agree. Especially when it comes to Wolverine. I prefer it when he has a long distance relationship with someone like Mariko or Tiger Tyger. They lived in their own, interesting little worlds away from Logan's regular X-Men life. And I think that sort of situation is perfect. Logan travels to Asia, has a few romantic scenes, stabs a few ninjas and comes back to being the resident grumpy, badass loner of the X-Men. Seeing him date a fellow X-Man could get boring really fast.

I think most of us want "anyone but Wolverine" for anything these days.

Mutants apparently can't get AIDs... so Wolverine is fine lol.

What the hell? When did that happen?

That's weird and arbitrary. Although I guess most things about the X-Men fall under those categories these days. :oldrazz:
