Looks surprisingly unrecognizable with black hair, even reminds me a bit of Fassbender and the way Adams drew Bruce WayneSam Claflin (5'11" / 36 years old)

Might be a top 3 choice for me now. Talented guy, and he can bring a certain levity to the role as well.Looks surprisingly unrecognizable with black hair, even reminds me a bit of Fassbender and the way Adams drew Bruce Wayne
I'm hoping Gunn goes for a 40+ year old Batman in this purely because for the love of god I can't find a single pick in their thirties as exciting and as fitting as Pace. That man was born to play Grant Morrison's Batman specifically, and is about the most opposite you can go from Pattinson while staying true to the character. It's one of the biggest no-brainers I've seen, it's the age range that's the wildcard here.Pace is so goddamn obviously the best choice to me now. He's probably too old but he's straight up my ideal Bruce Wayne in so many ways.
He plays a clone in Foundation.WTF he has no belly button..
Then get Matt Bomer, Luke Evans, Jonathan Groff or Ben Aldridge as Midnighter.Lee Pace as Apollo is dream casting material
Him, Fassbender and Bale on a race to see who can waste the most amount of talentPart of me would love to see Gyllenhaal get it just so there’s a chance he would be in a good movie again. Dude has been in turd after turd lately. I can’t believe his next movie is a freakin’ ROAD HOUSE remake.
Probably too early to say, but I’d argue at this point Apollo is the much more complex and enticing character to tackle, especially considering that Reeves and Pattinson are doing the exciting character work Batman at the moment, and there is potential this role is more of a vehicle for expanding the world and slightly pushing it forward rather than being introspective.I think that Batman is a way more exciting role for Pace than Apollo. Apollo seems like an extremely nothing role compared to Bats, and while it'd probably would be fun for someone to play and there are probably thousands of actors that'd do something good with it, I think Pace could and should do a lot more with Batman and I would not want him to get stuck in a role like Apollo instead because of his sexuality. I'd personally find it extremely disappointing especially because it seems like typecasting in a way (Not to say Bruce would be insanely out of his comfort zone, but I think it'd offer him a lot more challenges as an actor and I'd be really interested in seeing how he'd tackle those)
Yes, that’s correct.Ben Aldridge as Midnighter.
I have enough faith that James Gunn is not exactly gonna shy away from ensuring Batman is an interesting and complex character in his universe purely because he's also one in the Reevesverse. Would probably be about the most bizarre way to try to separate the two. And the father-son story, and concept of him being a patriarch of a family of vigilantes does lean itself to a lot of exploration in regards to Bruce and the different facets of him as a person. There's plenty to mine here in regards to Batman.Probably too early to say, but I’d argue at this point Apollo is the much more complex and enticing character to tackle, especially considering that Reeves and Pattinson are doing the exciting character work Batman at the moment, and there is potential this role is more of a vehicle for expanding the world and slightly pushing it forward rather than being introspective.
Fair point about type casting, though.
Thunderbolts. And if that's a success you bet they're gonna do Thunderbolts 2, 3, and more stuff with him.Left-field choice, but I think we could do a lot worse than Sebastian Stan. And yes—I know, I know—but Marvel doesn't seem to have anything major lined up for him at the moment.
He's 5'11 and currently 40 years old.
