Brave and the Bold Casting Thread

Sadly that'd feel like a waste since they already wasted their first impression of Wolverine in the MCU on DP3.
Granted, I'm only following all of this from a distance, but yeah, I don't see Marvel Studio/Kevin Feige touching X-men anytime soon.
The return of a 25-year-old cast in what looks set to be their big event crossover movie will remove any sense of anticipation to see new versions of these characters integrate their cinematic universe later on.
Pure speculation, but I'm pretty sure Feige simply intends to give fans what they have asked for for years (F4, Doom and the X-Men), and to do it the quickest and easiest way, to cash one last big check and retire.

Getting back to BATB, I have zero suggestion for the titular role. :whoops:

**** it I'm bringing him back.

You’ll be hard pressed to find an actor who looks less likely to ever be cast as a superhero.

Mf looks like an encyclopedia doodle meant to accompany the word “Englishman”.
Don’t you dare speak ill of English Man, or else he’ll open the door for you, politely escort you out, and send you on your way with freshly baked biscuits.

Yeah that feels like a rather shortsighted move on their part. Going for the immediate nostalgia cashgrab instead of putting in the work to establish their new X-Men is a choice. The thing is- I am more excited to see these established versions of the characters, but if I were Marvel I’d want to establish MY versions of the character so I can make more $$$ down the line

I was talking to my friend the other day about No Way Home and we were talking about how Holland will never feel like the “main” Spider-Man because of that movie. Spider-Man’s two main classic villains are Ock and Goblin right? And Venom now… But Tom Holland’s Spidey meets Ock and Gobby for the first time in NWH, and they belong with another Spider-Man. Imagine if Batman met Joker and Penguin in a movie for the first time, but they’re multiverse versions that belong with another Batman/universe. It would feel like it doesn’t even count.

In a way I’m glad DC’s big experiment with the multiverse failed in the Flash, but it would’ve been nice to see things like New Frontier, TDKR, Batman Beyond, Kingdom Come, COIE, Earth 2. Maybe there’s still a chance!

I’ve been pushing for him to play Constantine, but I might be coming around to the idea of Jonathan Bailey as DCU Batman.

I could see him doing a sort of modernized West kind of thing.

Colin Farrell or Luke Evans.

Brendan Sklenar - 34 years, 6’2”
Charlie Vickers - 32 years, 6’2”
Cosmo Jarvis - 35 years, 5'10"
Dave Register - 36 years, 6’3”
Ethan Peck - 39 years, 6’1”
Glen Powell - 36 years, 6’0”
Tom Bateman - 36 years, 6’2”
Tom Brittney - 34 years, 6’2”

  • Jacob Elordi - 27 years - 6’5
  • Oliver Jackson-Cohen - 38 years - 6’3
  • Adam Driver - 41 years - 6’2
  • Jake Gyllenhaal - 44 years - 5’11
  • Ryan Gosling - 44 years - 6’0
  • Wes Bentley - 46 years - 5’11
  • Oscar Isaac - 46 years - 5’9
  • Jon Hamm - 54 years - 6’2
  • Josh Brolin - 57 years - 5’10

Huge age range - and I think Brolin and Elordi are too old and too young respectively. But these are some guys I wouldn’t hate in the role.

Personally, Jake Gyllenhaal is the obvious choice. Definitely at the top of my list.

For a Batman who's father to Damian Wayne, I would say Colin Farrell. And I think he would bounce off of Corenswet's Superman reasonably well.

he’s always been a good pick for it. I’ve loved the idea since I first heard the rumors he and Jude Law were cast for Wolfgang Peterson’s BVS
