Coming events in 07

I was under the impression that IC was supposed to be the last major event for a while.

Though I have noticed in recent interviews that dc have changed their tune somewhat, possibly due to the lack of success of OYL and the amazing success of 52.

yeah but the problem with 1 is that Shado is a great character.. one of the resons im pissed that its only Grell and dixon that have ever used her

Just a fanboy rumor or did you her anything that might sound real?

I heard it from the guy at my comic store, he does write his own Indy comics, doesn't mean he has the inside scoop but he didnt give me any details he asked me if I had heard anything about it, since I usually bring a lot of new news to his attention. So I was just saying I heard something, I didn't know if it was true or not, thats why I brought it up to see if anybody else had heard anything.

I'd like DC to keep the main universe intact how it is, with all the Earth 1 heroes, Earth 2 heroes, and so on, but I think they should do a "Final Crisis" that reforms the multiverse, recreating old universe where only the JSA are present like the original Earth 2, and a world that is like the original Earth 1, and so on, but still keep the mainstream universe that is present today. Basically make it like Marvel's multiverse

52 hasn't been that great, I think it's been successfull because people started picking it up, and now that they have 30 some issues, they want to complete the series, thats partly why I think it has sold so well.

Do you read/follow it? 52's the best thing to come from IC. Other then the some of the issues in the 20s, which were only average, everything else has been excellent. An above average weekly, in this era of late everything, is worth it.

I am not understaning any of this. Didn't we just have IC to correct all the crap that happended between Crisis '85 and IC?

Here is what I am not understaning: IC was here for making wrong things right. 52 is the explanation of what happened over the lost year. OYL is a year later and allowing us to catch up with our "new," "changed" heroes.

So why is there rumor of another crisis; didn't our heroes already "change?" And what is WWIII, etc?

I've been on the net all morning researching Crisis '85, IC, OYL, WWI, II, and III, and some much more.

Should I even bother? And, if so, can anyone help me or point me in a better direction than Wikipedia?

Thanks

Edit: I know this may not have anything to do with the thread topic; but as I read all of the upcoming events, my eyes crossed.

I'm not sure you have to research World War I or II to read WWIII. I don't think the Black Hand is going to show up or anything.

World War III is the climax of 52. It's not a separate event, it exists in the same exact timeframe.

I wasn't discussing it's quality just it's amazing sales performance.

I think it has been wildly inconsistant both in terms of story and art (though thats to be expected somewhat). I completely agree with what you say, I've been trying to drop it for a while now but something always pulls me back in.

Ie this week 52 was dull and boring, with a horribly cliched story and at times terrible art yet last week it was excellent, it was exciting and powerful DESPITE the thing everyone guessed. It's a real lottery of a comic

I think I've found what I was looking for. Between this site, and a few others, I have pieced together an idea of what's to come.

So to play along with the thread topic, I will list my thoughts on "Coming Events in '07:"

DC's clever way of getting me to buy more comics. :D , :( The fanboy is me cheers as my wallet holds on to my butt for dear life.
