I had heard a while back that, as in the first film, there was some kind of reference to Eddie Brock in Spidey 2.

Can anyone shed some light on this at all??

umm you heard in the first film that there was a reference to Brock in the 2nd film?

I'm confused

That's what I've heard too, but after watching and watching SM1 & SM2 again and again, still cant figure out what are those references...

Yeah he's right. Here it is.

Waw, would have never even noticed it, thanks :)

I saw in one of the movies that there was also another photo and it was done by Eddie Brock as well. As far as I recall anyway.

Well I'll be damned. I never noticed that.

I mean, I think we all knew of Robbie's reference to Eddie from Spidey 1, but this is news to me.

Thanks for pointing that out!

wow, but how the hell would any catch this reference without that picture

That is the worst reference ever.

You'd have to have Superman's vision to spot that while watching the movie.

lol, yeah i think sam knew that eddie brock would edventually be in the franchise, so he put those in there as a future nod to the fans.

I was just watching the first Spider-Man movie and forgive me if this has already been pointed out, but there's a reference to Brock in that movie too.

When Jameson asks for a good picture of Spider-Man Robbie tells him "Eddie's been on it for weeks". He doesn't say the full name, but it's gotta be Eddie Brock.

What's interesting to me is that things like this and the reference in Spidey 1 show that even in the last two movies they were setting Eddie Brock to be a photographer.... as opposed to the reporter he was in the comics.

Given that the photographer thing works as a parallel to Peter... heh, I don't know, things that make you wonder. :o

I freeze framed every part of the scene where they show that front page, from being in the printing press to "Matthew Perry" reading it, I could never get a clear shot of the name under the photo.

yeah there was no way in hell anyone at the theater spotted it out though

its not like its an obvious thing like in the first spiderman.

Wow, never noticed that yet:eek:

I'm amazed at whoever spotted that.

And all this time I thought the reference was the part where Jameson goes:

My photographer got hit in the head by a polo ball.Your all I got.

Haha.:D
