At what point in the Spider-man 2 cast and crew audio commentary does Avi Arad confrim that Eddie Brock was referenced in the first movie?

Did he say that? First I've heard of it.

Well, in one of the Bugle scenes, J.Jonah does say Brock's name. And if I recall a scene with Eddie Brock, with a different much older actor was filmed, but it had been cut. It'd be interesting to see this footage, perhaps as an Easter Egg or Extra on the Spider-man 3 DVD?

P.S. Anyone recall the name of the actor who had been cast as Eddie in Spider-man 1?

There is no verbal reference to Brock in the theatrical release of Spider-Man 2. Considering I've seen the movie about 200 times, I think I'd know of it. However, I believe his name is printed next to one of the photos on the Daily Bugle.

The only possible reference is from Spider-Man 1 where Robbie says something like "Eddie has been on it for weeks", refering to the fact that Eddie had been trying to get Spidey pics.

However, there could have been a scene filmed and cut out, but I think we would have heard of it.
