Yeah, unless the show planned to up the ante a bit with content, FXX...isn't a bad choice, but it would be an odd one. Same with FX, in my opinion, at least for new episodes, anyway. But TBS would be a viable option. Hell, air it back to back with Angie Tribeca when the new season starts.

I do care about getting a real ending (and especially not some cliffhanger like last season or the season before), and this is coming from someone who's behind a bit in the episodes, but I'm kind of assuming it will get an ending of sorts until proven otherwise. It was doing pretty poorly in the ratings until a more recent upswing, so they had plenty of reason to doubt the renewal. And lately (as in up to around Episode #15) it's been having a final season feel to me.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is on the hype train as well.

They've got The Good Place and just picked up a pilot produced by Michael Schur. They could always want to go for a trifecta.

That would probably mean moving either Superstore or Will and Grace and I don't see NBC messing with a formula that's worked for them on Thursday nights.

It's been trending like all night.

But I'm wondering how many people actually supported it whether it be through Hulu, FOX Now, live watching, etc.

I watched it live more often than not since it's moved to Sundays. Fat load of good that did. :o

It's surprising they went and cancelled this. Feels out of nowhere. At least there are a lot of potential sources interested in picking it up.

Well, ratings-wise, I don't think it's necessarily out of nowhere. But ordinarily, I think FOX would have given it a final season to go out on. This reeks of Disney barging in and calling shots.

What makes you say that S-man?

Disney's not in a position to call shots, because they aren't buying the Fox broadcast network. It could be that Fox is clearing house some to start their transition to sports and unscripted.

I had not paid attention to the ratings, relying on the series itself to be a barometer of how well it was doing. B99 doing bad in the ratings is an even bigger surprise. The quality of the series was fine so where did the audience go? Although I'm reading that its ratings have been improving slightly now so it should have at least gotten an abreviated finale season.

They aren't buying FOX TV network, but they are buying 20th Century Fox TV productions.

Also, I think Brooklyn Nine-Nine is technically NBCUniversal's IP. I believe they own and produce the show.

I'm feeling confident it's going to get picked up again somewhere else based on the outpouring of support for the show on Twitter alone. Shows like Community and Cougar Town didn't get this much love when they got cancelled and they found new life. Then again, social media wasn't what it is now, but still....

I dunno, I recall a lot of online support and fervor for Community that helped keep the show on the air as long as it did.

I wish people were more supportive of Human Target.

It did, but I don't recall it trending worldwide like B99.

Yeah, starting with the show's writers. :whatever:
