Awesome interview with Jonathan Mostow and set visit from the film!

"A lucky few were invited a few weeks ago to head on over to Disney Studios and go to the edit bay where Jonathan Mostow (one of my favorite directors) was cutting together his new action movie Surrogates, starring Bruce Willis. Edit bay visits are cool because you get to see scenes that haven't been shown yet and also talk to the filmmaker about the direction he decided to go in when shooting certain scenes or just the overall tone of the movie."

^I want to stay as spoiler free as possible on the movies coming out over the next few weeks, sick of going to see movies and knowing about 60% of them before going in.

AVEITWITHJAMON -- I am sorry! I didn't realize I didn't use the "Spoiler" tags on that post. That will just wet your appetite for what is to come! :)

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie... saw a few of the trailers and tv spots and it looks very promising

Honestly didnt think T3 was that bad, and I am one of the biggest Terminator fans out there.

As a film it wasn't that bad, however one can make the argument that by simply following the same exact formula Cameron used in his films, Mostow did absolutely nothing to distinguish himself as a director. As a matter of fact many might even consider him a hack as a result. That's not the kind of reputation I'd want to see in a director when I haven't made up my mind about seeing a film he's directing. I'll watch Surrogates anyway because the premise intrigues me but I'm not expecting much from Mostow.

New trailer is far superior

A better trailer, but the film still looks very...bland...or generic. I don't like the film's futuristic setting and the effects aren't impressive at all. Though, I'll probably see this anyway since nothing good good comes out 'til October, off the top of my head.

It was the script that followed the same formula as the Cameron movies though, not Mostow, he didnt really have much time to change the script, and the studio wanted to go with that script. I think Mostow did very well with the script if you ask me.

I enjoyed T3 more than Salvation.

I enjoyed them about the same, but T3 is better structured.

According to Box Office Mojo and Imdb is runtime is only......88 minutes? WTF? This is only 9 minutes longer than 9. I know it's imdb, but I'd be more skeptical if BOM didn't say it also.

when am movie is 88 minutes long its FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOX. :)

^88 mins does seem a little short (and Fox-ish I might add), for this story and to set up the world it runs in it seems it would need to be longer than this,

Why do everybody hate FOX? What the F have they done?
