Just want to point out that Singer is now following Daniel Cudmore ...

God help me, if he's in this, I hope they use the X2 Colossus look instead of the X3 look.

yeah, I noticed both are following each other

wonder if its just because Singer have seen Daniel answering to some fans, or because he has just been contacted

would be great to see him fighting with Kitty, Logan, Rogue and Bobby. would be a pretty solid team, if u ask me

Unfortunately he hasn't had the same name recognition in Hollywood as other comic book writers whose work has been adapted to film. Think Frank Miller, Mark Millar (ugh).
Perhaps DOFP will help propel him up to that type of status.

From what Singer says, it seems like the time travel will depend more on mutant powers rather than, say, a time machine. So unless they introduce a brand new character with time-travelling powers, Charles with his powers to me seems to be the likeliest candidate.

I don't really see Xavier's mind traveling through time. He can freeze people but I don't think he's capable of bending time and space.

all the stuff about the cure will probably be explained by prof X in a voice over at start of film, quickly get it out the way by saying it didn't work ect ect

That would be like a "previously on X-Men" clip which I don't see happening. One of the characters would probably mention that the cure didn't last long.

Isn't it great how Claremont wrote all the best X-Men books that are the basis to most of the movies

Yes and hopefully her precious Psylocke will finally be portrayed in the films (starring or supporting role) after DOFP.

I think it's more likely there will be at least 1 actual physical transport to past.

If they go with as some advocate time travel erasing events of oriigns, trilogy, and the wolverine like Star Trek 2009 did from originql series through Nemeses 1 or more time travelers could be stuck In altered timeline. However If they do that you can gurantee wolverine would be at least 1 of the time travelers.

Bryan Singer following Daniel Cudmore Is hint he Is a likely part of next announcement.Perhapes 2 or 3 of first Class actors being announced next with CUdmore from trilogy.

Singer doesn't have to tweet Cudmore's return especially if his role is very small. They should just save him for the movie and keep it a secret. A lot of fans would be pleased if they unexpected see Colossus in the film.

True enough. But,I doudt Colossus would be a super secret appearance. That would probally be reserved for Cyclops and Jean If they use time travel to create a resurrection for them at end.

Speaking of actors Singer is following on Twitter. I would actually like to see Kevin Spacey as an anti-mutant Senator (a quick cameo will work). He is just one of those actors you love to hate. He has that face!

Kevin Spacey would be great as target of assassination.rumor was Bryan considered him
for Kelly back In X-Men but decided to go with bruce davidson since he felt he owed him
for doing small part In APt Pupil.

Tom Skerritt was also considered for Senator Kelly. Another face you love to hate :p

I only proposed Spacey as a cameo for an anti-mutant Senator and not the assasination victim because they are still likely to go with JFK's assasination as the trigger to the apocalyptic future, although it's been a while since his name has been mentioned.

Well, with Cerebro, he is able to amplify his psychic powers across space, at least. It's also worth mentioning that it has been a aspect of the X-universe, as I understand it, that psychic energy is linked in some ways to the time-space continuum. Or was that just an X-Men: TAS episode?

THIS all the way!

he looked perfect in X2, like straight out of the comics. did not like his X3 look at all. looked too cheap and fake.

Which mutant of the ones introduced in the series so far would be capable of time travel though? Especially if it's physical time travel?

They could always introduce a brand new character, of course.

You're so right, though...the more I learn about the...err...sequel, the more I'm convinced that there will be no further character development to the First Class team. It'll be practically impossible, with such a large cast and ambitious storyline; they will be just part of the general action, with touches of characterization here and there.

If they do end up splitting up the screentime 50-50 between the two casts, then yeah everyone will probably be too busy getting on with the plot to have any real character development - in either timeline. Unfortunately.

I guess it all depends on whether and how much they concentrate on the "core" characters, and who these characters are. My personal wish of course is that Erik and Charles and their relationship remain the focus, but you just never know. Focus can shift between the installments; Rogue was basically a lead character along with Wolverine in X1, but nowhere near as important in X2. The relationship between Xavier and Magneto (or Rogue and Logan) was also not anywhere as prominent in X2 as it was in X1.

I don't know how i feel bout daniel Cudmore returnin as he did nothing in most of x3, infact he barely said a word

if indeed daniel Cudmore returns in this film it adds another layer to bein a part sequel to X3.

Singer is way to respectful

This.

That is a classic example of CGI looking better than practical.

that looks bad

i know many fans will feel collossus can be redeemed in this new film and truth is im sure singer will do a better job with him then RAAATTTNNEEEERRRR:argh: but personally i didn't think he was a good collossus :csad:

I could've sworn the 2nd one was CGI too if I hadn't seen the photos. How have they made him up like that? Paint? Or a 2nd skin? He looks like Silver Surfer in FF:ROTSS with hair.

They did cg work over that Colossus mask/suit to blend it in. It didn't look that bad in X3. It was a different looking effect alright and X2's Colossus fx were better.
