I think teaching all those students over all those years and seeing them grow would change you and make you a lot more responsible and maybe conservative.

Serpico look is probably the bad patch in between the well-dressed young gentleman in FC and the well-dressed old gentleman in OT.

Could it be possible that the whole time traveling deal is actually the other way AROUND! Let's say someone on the future transports back to the past, plot points happen, goes back to the future WITH people from the past in tow (McAvoy meets electric wheelchair that CANT exist in his time), plot points, major battle, then send them back in time with newfound understanding, then climax in the past? It'll explain why Xavier in the OT is hell bent on letting events play out though he knows what may happen...."sometimes the mind is best discovering things on it's own"

It's possible but it'd be venturing a bit too far from the comics imo.
