season 7 started so well, then the potentials showed up and it nosedived.

I didn't mind the potentials, there were a couple of crappy ones, but there some half decent ones too, and there was also the benefit of having cannon fodder who you weren't attached to, because without them they would of had to have The First lead to the death of main characters, or make him seem substantially less menacing.

I probably like Seasons 5 or 6 most. Season 5 was pretty amazing overall and season 6 has some of my favorite episodes, the one where everyone loses their memory, Once More with Feeling and the one where Buffy thinks the past 5 years have all been in her head. Starting watching all the seasons in order, just finished season 3 today, gonna watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy then start season 4.

There is no excuse for Kennedy. I don't mind the potentials being killed off but it should have stayed in the background. They should have been gathered 5 episodes before the series ended.

Evil Angel was so much better. so much more personal and the mental torture!

The best big bad for me was Glory, she was stronger than Buffy on a physical level, but Buffy's equal on a personal level, in that way she was a bit like Faith, and she was the first villain to get one of Buffy's group when she made Tara crazy (I'm not counting Jenny Calender cus of the whole spy thing) also she caused Buffy's second death and on top of all that she was the only villain Buffy didn't kill.

I don't get everyone's problem with Kennedy, Okay she was a bit smug, but that was just a misguided attempt to make another Buffy, and I think had Kennedy had the chance to become a more well rounded character some of the hate would of worn off, the only thing I didn't like about her was she was to foward with Willow after the whole Tara getting shot thing.

Yes, yes we all hated the Initiative, but there were some other pretty good episodes in Season 4 I.E Living Conditions, Hush, Fear Itself and Restless, the only thing I couldn't forgive was Beer Bad.

I would give my left nut to see any of the actors from Buffy/Angel reprising their roles on television/film. It's just been too damn long. I love the comics and all, but artwork cannot replace people like Anthony Stewart Head, Eliza Dushku, James Marsters, Amy Acker, etc.

Numero uno bad guy is definitely the Mayor. Angelus comes in real close though. I didn't mind the Initiative all that much. Adam was just a little there. In the end, he didn't really do much except die at the hands of the Super-Buffy.

As for the seventh season and the potentials, it was a mixed bag for me. The first half of the season is pretty darn good, with fun and interesting episodes. Then they ****ed it up as the attention was put on the potentials rather than the real cast. I was glad to see them bring Faith back though. She was also part of my favourite episodes in the fourth season.

I liked the Big Bads from seasons 6 and 7 because Wicked Willow was pretty badass, but was taken down with a speech about a crayon (the speech was promptly mocked, which oddly made it more realistic) and the season 7 Big bad was Caleb and The First and they were both pretty menacing in the fact that they were stronger than Buffy and could really get into the characters heads, so personally I quite liked them.

P.S - Glory was my favourite Big Bad though.

I forgot about [blackout]Willow.[/blackout] I was thinking more on the lines of [blackout]the 3 Nerds.[/blackout]. I HATED that they were the main villians of season 5. Super annoying and they lasted the whole year. They sucked.

As far as season 7 goes, I wouldnt call [blackout]Caleb, the big bad. He only showed up towards the end and was a lackey of The First, which was the big bad of the final season. I liked the First, but it was kind of lame as it was a villian that Buffy couldnt even fight or really destroy. I was almost hoping that it got a corporal form towards the end which led to an epic battle between her and it, but all it did was ***** in her ear in the finale and annoy her. Lame.[/blackout]

Glory was probably my third favorite, after the Mayor and the Angelus/Dru/Spike gang. I love a bit of irony in my villains. Caleb's up there too, but he was a relatively minor villain.
