Lorne or something more than Freds call to get ahold of Willow mightve been awesome. Or if rugged badass Wesley had shown back up while Faith was around in the 7th season woulda been AWESOME! They really really shouldve added Faith to the cast of Angel for the 5th season.

Buffy getting to see new badass Wesley would be great considering the last time she saw him, he was a tightly-wound little pansy.

Overkill. They'd already added Spike, who was a fan (and writer, which is quit important) favorite. There was hardly room for Angel's usual supporting cast at times (you'll notice if you look back that whenever they really wanted to give a supporting character some development, Spike was generally shelved for the episode).

And hadn't she started up the fail that was Tru Calling by that point anyway?

Hey hey hey!!! :cmad: Tru Calling was a great show.

Faith would have clogged Angel up towards the end. Spike added a bit more fun to the show. I liked having him as a foil for Angel.

Agreed. I love Faith, but that would've been too many characters IMO. I just dont know what they could've possibly done with her at Wolfram and Hart.

I agree with you Sawyer. She would not have fit with the Angel version of Wolfram and Hart. Sure she was hired by them in season 1 (I think) to kill Angel and then he helped reform her, but when Angel took over W&H she would not have meshed well at all. Spike stuck around because, well, he was stuck and then we he re-corporialised he hung out because he found it fun. Spike worked, Faith wouldn't have. I don't actually see any Buffy characters working out in the last season of Angel, except maybe Andrew for comic relief. They could have also brought Willow in if they tried hard enough

I've always been kind of disappointed that there was never an Angel to Buffy crossover. We got loads of Buffy characters to crossover to Angel (Spike, Willow, Andrew, Buffy herself, etc.) I would've loved to see Lorne in Sunnydale.

I always thought it would have been funny if the AI crew got invited to Buffy's house for Christmas dinner for one mostly comedic episode. Maybe they could have fought demon-santa.

yes Eliza was on Tru. The idea that Whedon threw around was to have her in a Faith series but she already signed a commitment to Tru

Maybe not in a permanent capacity but seeing her comeback for the Finale to help them fight the Black Thorn and Wolfram & Hart woulda been nice

I woulda loved to have seen a Faith series with her just being a rogue kinda drifter traveling Slayer. Been really kool plus we couldve seen all kinds of familiar faces from both shows pop up. They really oughtta do a Spike series still just base it 5 years later after the end of Angel. Havent read the comics and sorry but I dont intend to I couldnt handle it cuz all it would make me do is get pissed off that well never see these great characters on tv again

I just cant see Marsters playing Spike again, sadly. Dude's closing in on 50, I dont think anyone could suspend their disbelief so much that they could believe that he hasnt aged since 1998.

If I want to see any of the characters on screen again, I'd like to see the Ripper tv movie/pilot Joss was planning.

The most recent thing I saw James Marsters in was Torchwood, and he looked pretty much the same as ever except his hair was brown. The guy may actually be a vampire...

Yea last time I saw him was the last time he was on Smallville and he didnt look to old then. I think he can still pull Spike off good. Im just sad that he never gets better than just tv work cuz hes an amazing actor

I think he woulda been a really good Gambit given the right look. And Im pretty sure he coulda pulled off the correct accent instead of the atrocious one we got

Hey, don't knock TV. TV gives actors a lot more room to develop a character than movies ever can.

Absolutely.

James looks good for his age, but a series based on Spike just wouldnt be smart. He looks good now... you dont know how he might look in another 3-5 years. His age may catch up to him. And also, I just dont want a Faith or Spike series, just because it would seem too similar to Buffy and Angel except with a slight twist. I remember years ago Joss was talking about a series TV movies. I'd like that.

True. Looking good in your 50s is one thing. Looking like an ageless vampire who was sired in his 20s when he moves into his 60s is quite another.

Exactly. Why do you think so many actors who have been typical "movie actors" in the past are moving into television more nowadays?

The simple answer to the aging issue is animation. Do some animated movies set after Buffy and Angel. That way you can control how much each characters age. Normals in real time, vampires not at all. I know it wouldn't be the same, but it would still be really cool.

Imagine if Lorne came to Sunnydale during Once More With Feeling?

Has anyone here ever wondered what The Mayor would have done after becoming and Old One?
