Nah season 7 was worse because art least season 4 had good individual stories for each episode. In season 7 i the first couple of episodes were good before they mentioned "The First" and then it got kinda blah until Caleb and Faith came in and it kinda was ok up until Chosen. A good chunkof the middle of season 7 was badly paced.

Theoretically he was the "best" in the sense that he had no obvious weakness and it took a witch/ slayer/ watcher/ xander woot all in one combo to beat him.

But yeah I didn't care much for him. My personal favs were Angelus and The Mayor.

Adam was a great concept but was horribly developed. I mean, he showed up, killed Professor Walsh and a little girl...then you really did not see him again until his final episode.

My favorite season of Buffy is,hands down,season 3. I loved Faith and seeing that whole rivalry develop. Call me crazy,but Faith is the better slayer,I think. I did like the season when Angel turned into Angelus after having sex with Buffy. When was that? Season 2?
My favorite show is Angel,however. I think season was the best. Fred/Illyria,puppet Angel,taking over Wolfran and Hart;etc. If only we could've gotten a season 6.

But Adam was Frankenstein, Glory was a God. For a god the only power she had was super strength and brain eating.

Glory is and will always be my favorite Big Bad. She was pretty much season 1-3 of Buffy Cordelia hoped up on evil and crack. And therefore she was awesome.

I think the reason Fred and Cordelia were the deaths of Season 5 was to show, that going to Wolfram and Hart cost the Fang Gang, the hearts of their group, their glue, the women were the glue of the group, notice how the team fell to shambles with their deaths until the finale?

She was strong but boring as hell. Fred was a fun character and then gone. Illyria was just boring she needed some personality.

She's got that Vision/Data/Red Tornado/Anya appeal of an outsider trying to figure out humanity, only with extra snarkiness. She was pretty boring, but there are certain elements of her that were good. But all things considered, I'd have Fred back in a heartbeat.

Illyria was only ever that great because of her interactions with Wesley. They made a good duo, albeit a very snarky and depressing one.
