I just read that they are making a Buffy MMO.

I'm not sure I have high hopes for that. :)

Massively multiplayer online game. I don't know why people started cutting it off after the O, since the abbreviation doesn't really make sense that way, but there it is.

I'd rather see a single player Angel game. We've already had two Buffy games.

Why not combine them? I wouldnt mind playing as Buffy and Angel set in a storyline which incorporates the best of both series. It would be a good compromise considering we'd be lucky to get anything considering both series have been off the air for years

I sorta want a Kingdom Hearts style Buffy/Angel game

Where they team up with characters from Final Fantasy, or where they team up with Disney Characters? Because, I gotta say, Mickey Mouse duel wielding keyblades in a boss battle with The Master would be pretty epic.

lol I meant gameplay wise. Like having 3 people in a party fighting enemies.
Though I would also be interested in this idea as well.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This may be the best game idea ever.

That would be cool.

Now I just have the image of Donald Duck in a sorcerer's duel with Ethan Rayne stuck in my mind. :o

Choosing a favorite season of Buffy is tough, because I totally love this show. I will admit that they Jumped The Shark when they brought Buffy back from the dead in Season 6, but that was hardly Joss Whedon's fault. He wanted the show to go for only five seasons and end with Buffy's death. Then the WB sold the show to UPN and they demanded more seasons. Joss has his bosses too, so he agreed, but on the condition that it will be for only two more seasons. That being said, while The Trio were lame nemeses for Buffy in Season 6, The First was pretty damn cool in Season 7 (although it did have a pretty lame name).

But, if I absolutlely MUST choose a favorite season, I'd have to go with Season 3. Just as I thought the women on Buffy couldn't get any hotter than Sarah, Charisma, and Alysin, along comes Eliza Dushku as Faith The Vampire Slayer. Yumm!

As for Angel? I liked that show too. They Jumped The Shark when Angel took over the L.A. offices of Wolfram & Hart, but up until then it totally rocked. Once more I'd have to say that the third season was the best, with Darla giving birth, Connor being whisked away to a demon demention, then coming back fully intent on killing Angel, all good stuff.

I always thought Willow and Faith should've each gotten their own Buffy spinoff. That woulda been cool. Or if Joss were to make a series about the five demon fighting luchadores introduced in Season 5 of Angel (the one about the Aztec demon who eats the hearts of heroes). That would be fun, but I may just be saying that because I'm a big wrestling fan.

none of what you said was "jumping the shark" at all imo... buffy at only 5 seasons would have sucked, and her death was still moving. not to mention it would have been a stupid way to end the series..

Angel on the other hand, needed another season at least... i liked the move to W&H it was a nice setup for what was to come.

Wesley Wyndam-Pryce is the best character ever. I cannot believe Denisof hasn't landed some roles. I'd cast him in a heartbeat.

BTW, in my opinion, Angel is the better show.

.

If the show would've ended with Buffy's death, that would've been the best series finale ever. Besides, the way she died was awesome. Maybe, you're one of those who loves cliches like happy endings.

Anyway, I really liked season 6 and 7 so I don't think it jumped the shark in any moment.

im fine with an unhappy ending, but other then saving her sister, and stopping glory.. what did she accomplish in the end? in season 7 she destroyed the first evil and annihilated the hell mouth! It was a much better ending that came full circle. She could have died during that and i would have been just as fine.

The problem with her dying in season 5 is the fact.. o great now its willow fighting evil in sunnydale till a new slayer comes along :o

you're forgetting that she also saved the world in the fifth season and fought against a god from hell

"She saved the world...a lot" Brilliant :yay:

still doesnt matter imo... the series ending was far better then season 5's

Seasons 6 & 7 had their good points, I'm not denying that. I actually liked Once More With Fealing (and I usually find musicals to be lame). I also really liked the season finale Hell Hath No Fury Like A Wicca Scorned, with Willow going all dark and almost destroying the world. Most of the rest of the season I fealt was just too far below Joss Whedon's usually high standards. And while they seemingly dropped the ball in season 6, they managed to pick it up again in season 7. Still, I still think they lacked alot of the spark that the first five seasons had. Thus, in my opinion, the show jumped the shark.

I agree that Angel needed another season, but the move to Wolfram & Hart was a mistake. You seem to be forgetting that the network was going to pull the plug on the show in midseason, without even a final episode. They only do that when shows are doing really poorly, or when the boss is on a huge powertrip and does whatever the hell he wants without ryme or reason. In Angel's case, it was the former. People lost interest and stopped watching, which caused the ratings to crash, which caused the cancelation. The only reason they even finished the season is because there was enough of an outcry by Buffy & Angel fans that they agreed to allow the fifth season to go to its conclusion. If Angel had never made the move to Wolfram & Hart, the show probably could have gone another two seasons.

Um I dont know where you were during Season5 of Angel but Angel was one of the only WB shows that year to have its ratings go up. So it wasnt doing bad, it was doing one of its best seasons in ratings.
