The Mayor dont care about taxes, he just wants stuff clean.

That's kind of what I figured. He'd probably cast out and/or tame the demons turn Sunnydale into a stepford smiler paradise based on his 50s dad control freak sensibilities.

While I did enjoy certain episodes of Buffy I was more into the concept and the stories of Angel and the characters in that show. My favorite character was Wesley.

He went through the best development through the course of the stories and I loved how he became the ultimate badass towards the end.

I recently watched all 7 seasons of Buffy and all 5 seasons of Angel. These are seriously good shows, and I am very tempted to write lenthy reviews about each season. So many things to discuss in regard to these shows.

I think Buffy should've ended after Season 5 honestly. She just beat a F****** GOD ! She sacrificed herself to close that portal Glory opened up. You can't top that.

stupid as CW/UPN!!

why the hell they have to cancel Angel?? :cmad:

it's been 6 years and i am still upset over that. the show was doing great and was getting better and darker with each and every episode. the addition of Spike in its last season made the show even better!

i actually think Angel was a better all around show than Buffy

but don't get me wrong, i love both

I felt they ended Angel at the right time though. Eventually it would've started to suck.

But there was much more to the series than the action. There was a lot more story with the characters left to tell.

I know that. Buffy is about a teenage girl maturing into a woman and all that bulls***. The last two seasons sucked though. I only saw parts of Season 6 and 7. I thought the finale was weak because they sure were happy even though they lost a bunch of people and Sunnydale was gone. The main cast acted callous after Anya died.

I love the first hlaf of S6 of Buffy, but after they delve into Spuffy it just went downward and then up again when Dark Willow appeared. And loved having the First as the final Buffy villan.

Angel still had atleast one more season in it, Season5 was a lot better than Season4 and it showed in the ratings.

Honestly, I had no problem with the Spuffy arc. It worked for both characters and progressed their individual arcs. And the fact that it wasn't a romance and in fact supposed to be unhealthy... I just liked that.

She had only died minutes before the end. I think they were all just taking a moment to be relieved that most of them survived and they stopped The First from destroying the world. And honestly, I loved seasons six and seven. The only things I don't like about them are the character of Kennedy (but that's mostly the fault of the actress, not the writing), and the fact that the Turak-Han became putties in the last episode.

Season 6 had The Body. That alone made that season strong for me. Was it Hush or I Only Have Eyes For You? No. But it was damn good.

:thing: :doom: :thing:

The Body was season 5. It's an easy mistake to make, given that season 6 was just a giant pit of depression.

ya I didnt like how average the Turok-Han became in Chosen either. But basically everything else about Chosen was good.

And The Body deserved an emmy. Always made me mad how they decieded to just ignore WB shows just because they didnt averate 9+million viewers.

Was that 6? Man I guess 5 and 6 melded together for me. Well considering I hate Spike I can see why.

Season 7 was crap. Kennedy anyone?

But the worst season of Buffy is still better than the best season of True Blood. :woot:

I'm guessing you've never watched an episode of True Blood in your life...

LULZ.

So many people who haven't watched True Blood in this thread. Such funny. :D

I just started watching Angel again. Reminds me of when TV was good. The last season was so good. I wished it continued

I disagree. Season 6 had a great arc for the characters and a great idea for the season. It was a very logical continuation of the show for many reasons.

While season 5 is better (Season 5 was def one of the 2 best), season 6 was great too. It didn't top season 5 in scale, but honestly, it wasn't supposed to. It was supposed to grow the characters. Plus, I love season 7's finale as an ending. We need season 6 for Buffy to get to the end point of 7. In season 7, her character journey ends for me. She changes from a loner and someone who NEEDs to have that burden to letting her burden go. Great ending. Now, Angel's finale makes me a bit mad. THAT is a WTF ending, though I like it in some ways.

I think I am going to post in depth reviews. I just want to!

I disagree to an extent. Season 6 is depressing, but the season was about besting your inner darkness. Each charater goes down a dark path in season 6, and eventually, they all get out of it and find the light in their own way. It's very well done.
