On one hand it's kind of cool, on the other hand it's kind of sad.

I guess they could say it's somewhat encouraging violence, yet in the same breath you could say giving out condoms endorses having sex. So I can't say it's wrong, but it is a little upsetting.

hmm could do with some bullet proof jeans aswell. i wonder if robbers would wear such attire.

cool...so instead of the wearer getting a bullet in the brain, they'll get their brains turned into mush...

I wonder how effective it is. I would assume that the material is pretty heavy, but it doesn't look like it. I can't wait for the first go-hard to try out his new bulletproof hoodie just to find out it don't work so well.

what a lot of people don't realize is that just because it's bullet proof doesn't mean it's damage proof. in order for bullet proof ANYTHING to be really effective, it also needs some sort of padding to stop the momentum of the bullet. if a person is wearing that hoodie, and someone tries shooting their head, the bullet might not penetrate the cloth but the cloth isn't going to stop the bullet's momentum and force. that bullet is going to crush that person's skull and brains. unless that hoodie instantly turns solid from high velocity impacts, then the wearer would still be severely damage from a direct shot.

Do we know if the entire thing is bullet proof?
Maybe it's just a bullet proof vest hidden inside the hoodie, So the arms and hood part aren't bp?

Sounds for for like playing with a BB gun or a Airsoft gun. Or knew paintball attire.

i wonder what happens if you shoot a none newtonian fluid.

well the article says it protects the entire upper body, so i'm guessing that includes arms...but like i said, a direct hit will still do extreme damage since the hoodie has nothing to stop the bullet's momentum.

Definitely. I would be like getting hit with a club hammer... but, even then, I suppose it's better than having a bullet tearing your insides apart.

actually...the impact of the bullet on the human body, even if there is no penetration, can still tear the insides up. if someone shot a person in the chest or stomach while they were wearing that bullet proof hoodie, the chances of internal bleeding are still pretty high.

Oh, I wouldn't dismiss that.

Would you prefer to wear this hoodie or not, tho? (when taking a bullet)

what the?! it looks like cheap cotten...

i'd rather be wearing it, but i'd still end up in the hospital or in a morgue.

We start carrying semi-automatic weapons, they get automatics. We get bullet-proof hoodies, they buy armor-piercing rounds.:brucebat:

I can't wait to see all the gangs in like Detroit sporting the black hoodie.

You know, if you really think you have to start wearing a bulletproof hoodie, you should probably be shot in the head anyway.

That's my point. It can only help your chances of living. :yay:

Regarding the gang culture over in the US, I don't understand why guns, knifes, any weapons aren't just banned... outright.

Here in the UK, the Government are slowly waking up to the problem. First, the ban all guns... and now you WILL serve time just for carrying a knife.

F'in right!
