BvS BvS: Early Tweet Discussion Thread (NO SPOILERS) - Part 5

Faraci is the Donald Trump of film critics. I don't give a rat's ass what he says. He could praise a movie I love and I'd still tell him to GFY.

Very professional title there. Can Faraci be anymore insufferable?

I was walking home from CVS a few hours ago and I saw a guy on the street who looked just like Devin Faraci (it wasn't actually him). I seriously wanted to just punch the dude in the f***ing face just because the thought of Faraci pisses me off.

Is that true? Am I not the only Star Wars fan who didn't like TFA? Because damn if I haven't spent the last few months FEELING like the only Star Wars fan who didn't like TFA. :csad:

But here's hoping Eobard Thawne is right, and not just about that half of the equation!

And he made a tweet a few days ago about how he heard from 6 reactions and how excited he was for the movie, which we know he was being sarcastic.

I'm amazed the guy gets any readers on that site.

If you want critics to stop being critics you gotta stop reading their stuff. Stop going to their sites. Stop talking about them. You're literally keeping them employed by linking to them. Jeez

Thank God. I've also noticed there were suddenly about eight times the number of Star Wars fans than there were a decade ago. People who used to be totally disinterested were lining up for TFA. It's like 2004 when suddenly all the squirrels in the forest were wearing little Red Sox caps. :whatever:

Probably they claim to be Warriors fan since 1946. :oldrazz:

Oh, I barely go on Faraci's site or Twitter account. I have no interest on what he does. That goes for pretty much any other critic.

LOL, I needed that laugh today. It was an exhausting day. Thank you man.

I'm pretty sure that was directed at the group as a whole. 99% of us hate the guy and yet anything he says somehow ends up being posted here anyway.

He said it's probably not as accessible to the GA as it is to fans, he had to have some stuff explained to him before his second viewing so he would understand it. He says Marvel makes their movies more accessible to the GA, that's their secret, but he liked the movie a lot, and he says it's gonna open big, he just knows the GA might not get it.

I think that's probably part of what we're seeing with the critics.

That's a fair review, and I can respect if reviews are like that instead of just giving it a bad rating 'cause it's not fun.

That's fair, but that's not what we're seeing with the current critics.

All the #BatmanvSuperman negativity from critics actually make me want to see it more. It sounds like a comic book I'd really love.

TFA isn't a masterpiece like ESB and it's not a game changing movie like SW, but it was still a great movie on many levels. And it deserves most of it's praise. If BvS crashed and burned from "critics" stand-point, doesn't mean you have to trash another movie with better reviews, trying to find excuses for BvS low score.

Guys, please don't let movie reviews ruin your experience. Most critics don't read comics. BvS is a film for cb fans made by a cb fan

Call me crazy, but I like that superhero movies have a variety of tones. Feige fun, Singer angst, Nolan groundedness-let 100 flowers bloom!

The enjoyment some fans and some journos get from voraciously tearing a film apart is one of my least favorite parts of this industry.

Are the critics given free pass to watch the premiere / early screening??
I suggest let them pay 4 themselves.

I just came back from the theater. I honestly am baffled by a lot of these critics reviews. I absolutely loved the film. It had so much more depth than even The Winter Soldier on the Marvel side and probably even The Dark Knight on the DC side. The action was superb. And perhaps most surprisingly, having kept track of this movie as much as I have, the movie kept me guessing.

Obviously I'm still on a high from just seeing it, but this might be one of my favorite movies of all time. I have some criticism for it, but all of that is far outweighed by all the good. And I can't wait to see it again on Thursday. There was so much to this movie, I'm sure there are things I missed.

And, as a massive fan of both Superman and Batman, I can tell you that Zack definitely did justice to them both. The film didn't go down how I would have done it, but it does show knowledge of and respect for both characters.

I don't use twitter, so consider this my "early Twitter review." The movie was great. If you're not looking for a shallow, joke-filled, light-hearted flick, then you'll probably enjoy this movie.

Glad you enjoyed the movie.

Faraci has an agenda. He feeds off the click bait hate. The best way to deal with him is to ignore him and don't visit his sites

Call me crazy, but your word as a fan outweighs all the laughable critics' opinion by far for me. My excitement for this movie is still in full force like any other day these last 3 years.

What a lot of hypsters said after the NY premiere is the very opposite of all those reviews from "critics". Chris Stuckmann and Jahns say Lex is just as we see him in the trailer, yet all the folks on here and twitter say that's not the case. Stuckmann and Jahns say trailer #2 did spoiler everything, yet here we learned that there are plenty surprises in the movie. Jahns says this is a Batman centered film - here we get "Superman is heart and soul of the movie".

Going by Angry Joe's tweets, it looks like he didn't like the film.

Jahns, Stuckmann and Schmoes all had HUGE issues with the film.

It's not great guys. Sure, ring on Faraci or those that seem to have an axe to grind with Snyder but lets be real here. Some very talented film critics are saying it is fundamentally flawed and at times schizophrenic and down right boring.

Nobody is reliable in this day and age when it comes to reviewing these type of movies. You gotta watch it for yourself and decide.

I really want to love this movie, but since the beginning i was wondering how were they gonna make a really good movie out of this. You have Batman fighting Superman, you have Wonder Woman doing i don't know what, you have Lex Luthor, you have Doomsday...i mean, just the concept itself sounds like a mess. I think you would really need an outstanding script to make something like this work.

The first reactions gave me a little of hope, but now, with all the complains, the movie seems to be the mess that i didn't want it to be. I still need to see it for myself, and i doubt i will dislike it. I also doubt that it is nearly as bad as critics say. Those guys are biased and close minded. But still...i wanted a really, really good movie. I wanted something more TDK level, not MOS level.

I haven't read most of the reviews because i wanna go in as fresh as possible, not looking for the negatives. But if the main problem is simply being too dark, violent and presenting a not so happy Superman, i really don't care. I actually want it that way. Now, if the plot is the problem, and if it's a bad one, a not so well crafted story, i will have a problem with it.

The Avengers is a boring sugar coated movie with an absolutely uninteresting and simplistic plot. Super predictable and not one bit daring. If that's what critics consider to be a great team movie, i really want the opposite of that.
