Is there a cable where I can link my TV to my monitor and watch the programs on my computer? The reason is because the TV is in the bedroom and we can only watch when the kids go to bed, but it is next-to-impossible to watch the TV while they're asleep. If we can hook it up to the monitor, then we can watch it with our earphones on, and the monitor isn't as bright as the TV is so it has minimal disturbance to the kids.

Thanks.

This should be a very simple & inexpensive thing to try if your tv has the right outputs. Does your tv have analog audio outputs? If so get an Audio Y Cable Splitter 1-Mini Plug/2-RCA Plugs http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Audio-Cable-Splitter-1-Mini/dp/B00004Z5CP/ref=pd_cp_e_0 Plug this into the analog audio output of your tv, if your tv allows you to turn the internal tv speakers off & on then you should be able transfer the sound to a stereo with an audio in input & then plug your headphones into the headphone input of the stereo.

Thanks alot for the help! I'll give this method a try. :yay:

How about getting a TV card to fit into your computer? This might be a simpler solution in the long run.
