im having a hard time choosing either to pre-order this or GOW 2 any opinions? i think i should wait till christmas for COD:WaW..

I just don't know about this game. It's definitely not a buy for me, maybe a rent but I just loved the idea of a Modern Warfare game, and after Infinity Ward perfected it, how could they go back to WWII? Without a doubt, I'd get Gears of War 2, but hey thats just my opinion. It's up to basically what games you like best and whats worth more to you.

Gears of War 2 will be your best bet. It will be the better game, hands down. Every other CoD is just a time filler as the real Call of Duty games come only when IW does them.

COD : WaW is pretty good I like the game so far ( yes I play the beta ).

The Zombie Gameplay video is awesome. Cant make out if its Singleplayer only or that you can team up with some friends and kick ass online?

It's definitely an online mode, at least in that video. You can see other player's gamertags above their characters, and it also shows a spectating mode.

So definitely co-op or some type of online.
I'm not expecting this to be better than CoD4, but it looks to be fun regardless.

To be honest, the game is faster than COD4

And contains more gore, limbs flying, lying on the field with your guts next to you. COD4 was awesome, this game feels like 4. Definatly keeping an eye on it I LOVE the beta so far

Thanks for that information about the zombie-mode. Should be fun! I hate zombies though

Like PWN3R said, it's 1 to 4 players with online and I believe split screen for 2 like how coop is.

This game mode is a blast, and it's more about strategy than anything else, communication is key, and rebuilding those damn barricades(at least at the beginning )

I've been playing the demo from XBL. It took a bit to get used to how fast the characters move, but it reminds me a lot of COD 4 which I still play a lot for having it almost a year now. I may have to pick this up.

The review stated that it raised the bar for ALL war games, which like kez, i think is an absolute asinine statement. It may raise the bar for all FPS war games, but I'm certain it doesn't raise the bar for ALL war games.

I think they are talking about quality in general, I don't see how that's a far out assessment.

It's like saying that Force Unleashed is the best Star Wars game ever(not my assessment, just an example)

The sole fact that it has Zombie Nazis is proof that it does not top Call of Duty 4.
