Anyone ever notice how people always find something to b---- about when it comes to big blockbusters like this? BIG highly popular blockbuster sequels?

Why? I don't know. Attention? Whatever.

Let's look at Batman Begins. Was it highly anticipated?

After Batman and Robin? Yeah right. It wasn't anything like Spider-Man 3's hype.
Okay so there's two villains in Batman Begins. Three if you want to count the phoney Ras Al Ghul.
So let's see, we have:
Ras Al Ghul (fake)
Ras Al Ghul
Scarecrow.

Well there's 3 villains for you. Was Ras Al Ghul a super-popular, well known character before? No.
Was Sandman a super-popular, well known character before? No.

Are both characters cool? Well, Ras Al Ghul wasn't anything special to me, but he didn't suck. He was good enough for where he was. Sandman was awesome though. That's just my opinion.

But did fans and critics b---- about Ras Al Ghul? Not that I remember. See there you go. Alot of you guys, other fans, and critics didn't want Sandman in there. Don't lie because I've seen it before.

And in Batman Begins, Scarecrow himself had under two minutes of screentime and he was kind of a wimp. I loved him, he was my favorite character in the movie. I wish he was in it more and did more stuff besides spray gas though.
Face it, they screwed him up from the comics and cartoons. He wasn't that much of a pansy. He had very little screen time.

Did fans and critics b---- about that? Well not really from what I remember.

But boy, did people complain about Venom! About 10 minutes of screentime and a damn-good incarnation from the comics. Was he perfect? No. Do I wish he was in it more? Yeah. Did he kill the film? No.

So let's see here, Venom and Scarecrow have a bit in common in these movies, as well as Sandman and Ras Al Ghul.
Now why didn't people hate and give Batman Begins crappy reviews? Well probably because it wasn't so damn popular and hyped like Spider-Man was. For Spider-Man, I bet they were thinking "Oh Spider-Man 3! If I find little things to complain about people will listen to me more!"
Alot of people like hearing complaints and attacks at big famous movies.

Really, Batman Begins' story wasn't "Oh. My. God.:wow:" great. It was really good, but would've been a crappy movie if not for good camera work and good action scenes and acting.

Spider-Man 3 was a great story too, but probably wouldn't have been as good if it's action was lacking, bad camera work and alot of bad acting.

Ever think about how people like to complain about the SMALLEST things? For some, the shot of Spider-Man in front of the flag KILLED the final battle for you.

Pathetic.:o

people complaining about the smallest things? TOOOOOOOOO TRUE, my friend, too true

And yes, it is pathetic.

Even though i was one of the ones that hated SM3, i have never been too vocal about it or nitpicked too much about small flaws or bending the truth of the film to suit my arguments. I realise your theory concerns a majority of people here, and i agree with most of your points (Except a few points about Venom and Sandman, but this is not the thread for backlash on those points) but a small minority of people (like me) just genuinely didnt like the film. There is such a thing as taste and we are not pathetic for having an opinion.

Upon reading that through i sound like an ******* but it does not intend to be egoistic

So when are people going to be done complaining about people complaining?

True. Overlooked that. You're right there.

But still, alot of people just will never be happy or they just wanna find soemthing to complain about.

Its how the world works dude. Take the war going on in the middle east about religion. I bet you both of my testicles that they will still find something to fight about if the religious debate was solved. People just naturally like to fight about anything they can find, and internet forums are no exception to that.

Spider-Man is the number one superhero movie franchise of all time.

Of course fans of other franchises are going to try and tear it down.

All that does is make me smile. :yay:

There are some legitimate reasons as to why some don't like Spider-Man 3. Not everyone has to like it.

The only thing that gets on my nerves is some of the nitpicking. The 1 1/2-second part with the American flag? It AIN'T a big deal.

I see many of your points, but I'm going to have to disagree here. See, people didn't b*tch and moan about SM3 just because they wanted to (though some probably did) I think a majority of people just had extremely high standards for this movie, because one good, and one very good movie had preceded it.

Why did people not b*tch and moan more about BB? Well, think about the bar set for Batman Begins. There wasn't one. Batman and Robin was so incredibly bad that just about anything would have been a step up. And when Nolan made a Batman that was more accurate the the comics then even B89 (the holy grail of Batman movies before BB) then fans went crazy.

I think lots of people were expecting near oscar level material from SM3. They wanted something to rival the LOTR movies. Was that fair? No, but I think many people were viewing it that way.

Really, Batman Begins' story wasn't "Oh. My. God.:wow:" great. It was really good, but would've been a crappy movie if not for good camera work and good action scenes and acting.
Personally I thought the choppy actions scenes were the biggest flaw of BB, they were even choppier then the Bourne movies, but that's just my opinion. I do agree though, the story in BB wasn't groundbreaking. It was just a solid story.

Spider-Man 3 was a great story too, but probably wouldn't have been as good if it's action was lacking, bad camera work and alot of bad acting.

Yeah, when people get nitpicky about stuff like that it is annoying. I mean, I thought the flag scene was corny, but did it ruin the final battle for me? Nope.

Spider-man is my FAVORITE movie of all time. Spider-man 2 is very good too...I liked the first better but I understand if people liked the second one more. SM3 was just terrible. And I wasn't even that excited for the film, I rarely came to these boards at all. I just thought the film was truly poor and it is not because I am nipticking...I don't care about the flag scene, etc. I just think that the story was not good, sandman felt like a hentchman to me...Harry was just stupid and the charecters weren't as lovable as in the first 2...heck, even J Jonah Jameson wasn't as lovable or even funny for that matter. Aunt May was hardly a charecter in the film, she was more like a cameo.

The standards for SM3 were set really high...and there is NOTHING wrong with that. These are movies that people love, people loved SM 1 and 2 so you can expect them to want a fun ride with SM3. For a 250 million dollar budget given three years to complete, this movie is very disappointing.
I think they overstuffed the movie (like X3) with too much charecters...and too much becomes too little. Charecters arent given screen time to give the movie emotional depth or to make the villains truly intimidating as Doctor Ock and the Green Goblin. Jumping from 1 villain per spider-man movie to three villains in one movie...with all the charecter arcs to be completed and the introduction of SM's dark side as well as a love interest...is the stupidest idea ever. I still love the franchise and Id love to see a SM4 but Im not going to lie...SM3 was a catastrophe
