thats the only one so far, im sure other people have recorded it on friday

How so? Without getting too spoilery, but if expensive rocks are going to bring humanity back from the depths... alrighty then... I can at least understand it if humans needed a planet to colonize or something. Maybe that's the case. It would be better than, "Time to get rich".

And on the space travel thing... scientists have estimated it's going to take at least another 500 years before we are even close to being capable of getting to Alpha Centauri.... so I am suprised Cameron is off with the timeline. Even with fushion, it's not a practical trip.

Mineral fuels trains in future. There is no more oil left. Without mineral Earth economy is f....ed .

I guess the Obama administation failed to utilize solar power and the other plentiful alternatives to oil in the 21st century. But hey... science fiction. I get it. Just figured Cameron would have thought of something better.

Obviously he has his reasons. This type of story could take place anytime he wants.

Like...?

Cameron wrote this **** like two decades ago, and it was a fresh story back then somewhat.

150 years? We'll be gone, baby (humans, that is)

No way. Unless something cataclysmic happens to the Earth, we should be around for at least a couple hundred thousand years.

So I'm playing Fallout 3 for nothing? I thought it was good training.

hey im learning all the rules for a zombie apocalypse
im betting its going to be all zombies

I am just clammering for an HD trailer. The new one is just so epic, it's insane.

And that giant yellow demolishing thing is so cool! I want want one! :hehe:

Does anyone know if the new trailer is in front of Where the Wild Things Are?

I was pissed at my Saw showing because it had the first Avatar trailer & not the new one :(

Is it just showing in front of Amelia or whatever-it's-called?

Not sold on the story... I mean we run into this wicked alien race and the only thing we can think of is robbing their natural resources? I get that this is Sci Fi and humans are evil but I just figured we'd be better than that by now.
Could not agree more.

I am sure you can look it up yourself. It's only a matter of time before fossil fuels go by the wayside. Not to be overly optimistic. Nuclear, solar, clean coal, ethanol to name a few. Solar is the way to go though. Virtually an infinite supply in space. Mining for minerals on a planerary system in Alpha Centauri is just stupid. Being that Cameron is an advisor at NASA, I figured he'd know better. It's going to take you maybe a couple of decades to go back and forth each way. Not too mention a four year lag just to communicate with Earth each way. What they could have done, say the solar system is running out of useful resources many thousands of years from now (which won't be the case any time soon)... THEN it would make sense to go to Alpha Centauri. So add maybe a few 10,000 years to the timeline and it makes a bit more sense. But before anyone says it, I realize its a movie. Just required a simple correction IMO.
