What's so ridiculous about it, I happen to think those movies capture the greatness of the comic book genre, better than the majority of actual comic book films? You can include Alien/Aliens, as well.

to get something off my chest. I'm sick to DEATH of the spidey movie bashing since TDK (94%) came out. okay I'll admit I'm not a fan of three but I'll say right here right now SM2 is EASILY my second favorite superhero movie of all time including iron man (93%), BB (84%), and superman the movie (93%). SM2 has 93% on rotten tomato meaning the only movie to score higher is TDK and even then by ONE PERCENT.

I swear if raimi does beat TDK with SM4 I am going to LIVE on the batman boards.

And I'll be the first to stand up and clap if Raimi does deliver a film more entertaining than TDK...but I'll probably be too busy gawking at all the pigs flying around.

I don't agree. I saw some great posts about how the Spider-Man movies could be improved and reach higher levels of quality. Just like in that thread about the guy who said he's disgusted with the series.

You're way off. You percieve the love for this movie as being over blown because it's stepping on the Spider-Man movie's toes, and it's riling up the other Spidey fans. It's sad but it's true. And the same thing happened back in 2002 and 2004 when the Spidey fans were crowing about the first two Spidey movies and how they were more successful than the Batman ones.

Now a Batman movie has made more money, is more critically successful, and is generally more popular, and the fact that Batman fans are crowing about that is sticking in the throats of some of the Spidey fans.

Couple that with the stupid excuses that Heath's death raised the hype for this movie. This movie was hyped to the max long before Heath passed away. Especially when the first trailer hit in December. Not to mention the ENORMOUS viral marketing campaign WB set up back in May of last year.

Yea all the negativity in this thread is mostly Spidey fans whining rather than Bat fans boasting.

I'm a Batman AND Spidey fan, I want to see a truly great Spidey movie that lives up to the comics. So far, I haven't (well the first one was brilliant). Thats just my opinion, it isn't me boasting about TDK. At this precise moment 99% of the world (might be exaggerating ) think TDK is the pinnacle of comic book movies. Some Bat fans are gonna be happy about it, maybe they will come in here and crow about it. Who cares?!? Just deal with it and stop moaning!!! Instead of moaning why not come up with some ideas for yourself on how to get Spidey the treatment he deserves? I've made enough points in here on how I think Spidey could be the top dog again, I haven't seen much from anyone else to be honest. Just moaning.

What are you rambling on about?

We've been naming what needs to happen in order to improve the Spider-Man movies for years (almost a decade for me) way before BB/TDK, and we don't need to put Batman in the title to do it. I can care less about how much money either multi-billion dollar franchise has made, because in the end, I'm still gonna be walking home poor. Nor do I care about the hype behind either film or HL's death. If anything, there are other comic book-like films, that I'd rather Spider-Man be more like in quality and delivery than TDK.

Nice. I've always wanted to see more of Spidey fighting regular crime rather than always focusing on the freaks (poorly dont ones, half the time). I'm gonna have to check out that Sin-Eater thing...never heard of it before. What issues is it?
