Can anyone name one person starting threads espousing anti-Ben Affleck outrage in mid-2006 who has anything resembling a capability for original or maverick thought or insightfulness at any time?

Really there are plenty of utterly untalented ******s roaming around with free passes who get only a microscopic fraction of the criticism they deserve. Start with Zach Braff. Phuck that guy.

Like someone said, Affleck just hit a bad streak of crappy movies, but that does not mean he didn't make any good movies. He may not be the best actor, esp. when compared to his buddy Matt Damon, but he isn't the worst, either.

See, Affleck just has that "frat-boy ass hole" look about him, and characters like his from Boiler Room, he really shines. His introduction to the recruits is one of my favorite scenes in any movie I've seen.

He's just one of those actors who isn't a chameleon when it comes to roles, and there are A LOT of actors like that who don't get that much flack compared to Affleck. Not everyone can be a Depp or an Oldman, someone who never plays the same role twice and can be convincing in all of them.

I will say this, he needs to start doing drastic things with his appearance depending on what roles he takes. I'd like to sit through a movie where he's not wearing a suit in any of his scenes!! Put on a little wait, shave your head, or grow your hair past your neck, something! Grow a beard again! I'd love to see him in a movie with a shaved head, and that trucker moustache he was rockin' after him and J.Lo broke up. Not to mention being all tatted up in real life. Play an ex-con or something!!
