I think this is a tough question. It's possible for Batman to really exist? Could Bruce Wayne amass all of the technology he needs and still protect his identity? Could he, no matter how great his martial arts abilities, continue to face people with guns and not suffer major wounds?

There are a lot of other debatable points, but I just wanted to mention a few to get a discussion going.

I'm going by mostly how Batman is portrayed in the comics, which is why it posted this and this form.

A person, with sufficient wealth and contacts, can get pretty much anything he wants. It can also be done in such a way, by use of shadow companies that collapse upon end of purpose, get the stuff without being traceable. That is doable, imo. You can get very far with cash transactions.

I think it's also possible, by using various stealth techniques and sufficient body armour to come close to not suffering major wounds, but the longer one does something like that, the greater the likelyhood of getting shot. I could be wrong, but the best military armour can protect you from pretty well anything short of a bazooka or shoulder fired missile.

considering that hes company makes weopons for the military um id say yes he probably gets ashare of the technology from them

A real Batman could exist, and do the things that Batman does, for a week, maybe two, before he gets his head blown off.

Not without getting caught by the Alphabet Boys.
