Will Rick Jones ever appear in a Hulk movie in a meaningful way because of Ang Lees TV like Hulk origin?

I think the biggest issue is that the character of Rick Jones falls under the Captain America license, at least from what I've heard. I guess if both licenses fall into the hands of the same production company...

when Ang made the Hulk, Rick jones was with Cap America and his rights were with New Line or someone like that, so they couldnt use him. Now they can. Not Ang's fault

I don't want Rick Jones... his involvement into the story could seems too forced at this point...

Jones rights with Captain America? His stint with him was rather small. I only remember reading about him with Capt. in the 60s. Can someone point me to the info? It just seems weird & doesn't make sense. Jones was in a ton of Hulk issues.

No. Rick James died a few years back.

nope, it wasnt a small stint, i dont read comicbooks much but i'm sure Rick stayed with Cap for a long time. At the time the Marvel rights were given out to studios, Rick was with Cap. I think this was actually done in the 70's. I'm not sure though.

Your wrong it was only a few issues in the late 60s or early 70s. I remember I read them. Rick Jones has spent more time with Captain Marvel than Capt. America! But he spent the most time with the Hulk over the last 40 years.

either way, when the rights were split, he was away from Hulk. It doesnt really matter where, he's been the sidekick to alot of people over the years anmd i guess Marvel thought it would be best if they kept him with Cap.

I'm sorry but it doesn't make any sense to have Rick Jones with Capt A. He had Bucky Barnes to begin with. RJ only had a small issue run with Capt A. I find it hard to believe that someone had the know all to ask for RJ to be with Capt A it just doesn't make sense. Maybe the Falcon but not RJ. This just seems like a false rumor spread online.

ofcourse it makes no sense but thats the way it is, if RJ was available, then why would they create a guy like Harper in the first movie?

Those few issues are important, because for the next 30-40 years writers have been using "Captain America's training" to explain why Rick can win fights with people twice his size.

And in my opinion, Rick should be in the movie as the founder of Teenbrigade.com, an online network of Hulk supporters.
