I would need the transcript of Eddies apparent death...

i need to know how he killed himeslf (slitting wrists, okay) where was spider-man, where was the symbiote and especially: the dialogues/monologues...

so lets say spidey saw waht happened: what was he thnking...
ect...

that woudl really help me alot.
thank you...

In what issue I havent heard of this.....if your talking about when he got the symbiot I thought that was in a church?

he didnt have any dialouge or monolouge...it was a one panel thing with the scorpion talking (I think) and he mentioned something about Eddie killing himself and we got one panel of Eddie in an alley with his wrists slit

Hey dude. Here is exactly what it says in the comic for Brock's death:

"Poor EDDIE BROCK. He opened up his wrists at Fifty-Third and Broadway and doesn't look like he'll make the night.

He TRIED to be good. He tried to make up for all those horrible things he'd done in the past, but he's only unleashed the worst aspect of himself now...a MONSTER without a CONSCIENCE."

And all it shows is a silhouette of him in an ally with blood all over his hands. And I think it is actually Spider-Man who narrates this, but I could be wrong. Brock's death was pretty anti-climatic though. You didn't miss much.

Makes me sick to off a my favorite villan in that kinda of way (but I think he's coming back.)

I actually liked it. He became Venom while trying to kill himself, and stopped being Venom by succeeding.

I remember Marvel's editor saying that the biggest problem with Spider-man now is that everybody is dead. Harry, Gwen etc. My thing is why do they insist to kill off more?

One more thing. I read a fair amount of comics but the past month my finances have held me back (car). I haven't really gotten the scoop on Venom returning for the Beyond thing. Could somebody give tell me if it's Eddie or not.

Parker luck? Realism? I don't know but i liked the idea of eddie dying, its just a shame the symbiote gives everyone the same look and powers. i think toxin was a good idea and that the symbiote should pick up some new tricks, like actually produce venom now that its been attached to scorpion and his costume. i thort we were always told it picked things up from the person's DNA and their potential yet there's very little evidence of this.it attached to wolvie for a while, how about a greater healing factor, like recreating limbs? and whats with just mixing the word venom into the hosts name when a new guy gets taken over (they do the same with carnage). how about a new name for scorpion-venom? something a bit more imaginative than an amalgram of the two.:spidey:

I like that he (Gargan) is called Venom, it's like when different peeps took on the guise of the Hobgoblin, they were all called Hobgoblin.

Besides w/ the film next year Marvel likes to have whoever is in the current movie to be active in the comics. VenomIII won't be around for that much longer.

^ no way! thatd be so bad. they cant just bring eddie back for the movie. i reckon the whole gargan as venom thing was partly because of the movie already. breathin new life into an overused character. i guess in that way changing venoms ID was a good idea. Good point on the hobgoblin thing. i guess as long as the symbiotes around petey will never get rid of venom and thats the way we like it!

I just think they should stick w/ Gargan/Venom and develop him into an interesting character.
Bringing back Eddie Brock just because he is appearing in a film is pretty lame.

It’s basically all down to Joe Q believing that there are people in this world who might graduate from watching a Marvel film to becoming a hardcore comic reader, and their tiny minds would not be able to comprehend that one of the characters from the film they watched is not the same person in the comics.

I say if Eddie is gonna come back then do it for a worthwhile reason, if there is no reason other than to help bridge a gap of understanding between two mediums don't bother.
Compromising the comics to fit the movies is a no brainer because all it will do is help reaffirm how lame Brock/Venom has become.
