i think it was AMC's fault. I watch AMC all the time and I didn't even know season 2 had started until the season finale.

they need to market the show better.

Funny cause they always air ads for their shows and I saw The Killing's second season advertised. I bailed after three episodes but returned for the season finale which was pretty good.

"Hemlock Grove" starts with the body of a young girl, mangled and murdered in the shadow of the former Godfrey steel mill. Some suspect an escapee from the White Tower, a biotech facility owned by the former steel magnates. Others believe the killer could be Peter, a 17-year-old Gypsy kid from the wrong side of the tracks, who tells his classmates he's a werewolf. Or it could be Roman (Skarsgard), the arrogant Godfrey scion, whose sister Shelley is disturbingly deformed and whose mother, Olivia (Janssen), the otherworldly beautiful and controlling grand dame of Hemlock Grove. As the crime goes unsolved and outlandish rumors mount, Peter and Roman decide to find the killer themselves, confronting unspeakable truths about themselves and Hemlock Grove as the mystery unfolds.

I'm looking forward to both Netflix series. I like the format of putting the whole season out there at once rather than waiting each week for a new episode.

Pilot Season Preview: Most Wanted Actors/Actresses

"Sure, we'd love to get the ratings that The Walking Dead gets... so lets cast the one of the show's most hated characters!"

I mean, Sarah Wayne Callies seems like a very attractive, intelligent woman, and probably alot more tolerable than her character on TWD, but the logic the TV Line writer uses just seems strange to me. If anything, I'm betting she gets a supporting role somewhere down the line.

Watching 'Guys With Kids', ugh! how is this show not cancelled yet, everything seems so cliche like a leftover sitcom from the TGIF lineup.

Hmm lets see we got three thirtysomething guys raising their kids, sounds familiar? yeah sort of like Full House except the kids on this show are still toddlers so the guys have to act dumb to get a laugh.

All that's missing is a wacky next door neighbor.

That's where you went wrong. :o

‘Helix’, ‘The Almighty Johnsons’ Heat Up At Syfy As Network Nears Pickups
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

I hear Syfy is zeroing in on scripts for its next round of green lights, which may come next week. I hear among the top contenders for a pickup are Helix, from Battlestar Galactica developer/executive producer Ron Moore, and The Almighty Johnsons. I hear Syfy are contemplating straight-to-series orders in lieu of traditional pilot pickups, and that the network may make greenlight decisions in conjunction with existing series renewals.

Moore’s Helix, from Sony Picture TV where Moore is under an overall deal, is about a team of scientists investigating a possible disease outbreak at an Antarctic research facility.

The Almighty Johnsons is an adaptation of the New Zealand fantasy comedy/drama series created by James Griffin and Rachel Lang and produced by All3Media’s South Pacific Pictures. It centers on Axl Johnson, who on his 21st birthday discovers he and his family members are reincarnated Norse gods. Chris Dingess wrote the U.S. adaptation, which is being produced by Entertainment One.
Moar Ron Moore. :o:up:

Adam F. Goldberg ’80s Comedy Gets Pilot Order At ABC With Seth Gordon Directing
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

EXCLUSIVE: ABC traditionally hands out a couple of early pilot orders before the holidays. The first one this year has gone to How the F Am I Normal, Adam Goldberg’s single-camera comedy produced by Sony Pictures TV and Happy Madison, whose pilot will be directed by Seth Gordon. The project, inspired by Goldberg’s experience growing up in the ’80s with a highly screwed up but loving family, already had a production commitment at the network where it moved in September after being originally set up at Fox last season. It is a family comedy set in the ’80s that centers on an in-your-face mother and hot-tempered father who love their three eccentric kids so much, they can’t bear to see them grow up.

Goldberg and Gordan are executive producing with Happy Madison’s Doug Robinson; Bill Wee is co-executive producing. How The F— marks a reunion for the auspices behind the Fox comedy Breaking In, which was co-created by Goldberg and Gordon (he directed that pilot too), and produced by Sony TV and Happy Madison. The early pilot order assures the directing services of Gordon, who is producing a slew of projects this season.

The pitch for How The F—- galvanized the marketplace when it was originally taken out in summer 2011. All major networks, including ABC, went after it. In the end, Fox won it in a complex deal that included the resurrection of then recently-cancelled Breaking In with a midseason order. With Breaking In renewed, Goldberg focused on relaunching the show. The ’80s comedy project, which had received a script commitment with penalty, was put on hold.

With no movement on the new ’80s project following Breaking In‘s cancellation this May, Goldberg this past summer met with ABC brass, who were still very high on it and were willing to give it a production commitment if it were available. Goldberg then approached Fox about releasing the script, and the network agreed. Goldberg and Gordon are with WME.
Comedy's more about execution than concept, but this sounds like it could be interesting.

Considering that Arrow's been the biggest success The CW's had in awhile, I'd be surprised if they aren't considering it, since it's by the same people and based on a DC character.

what is it with NBC's hard on for the split-personality/life show?

First it was My Own Worst Enemy

Then it was Awake

Now it's Do No Harm

Awake was so much better than that... :o

It's been a month, Sawyer. Change your goddamn sig. Make it about Arrow!

Arrow can eat my ****, I'm not taking my sig down until NBC gives that **** a series order. If they don't, I take NBC down. :o

uh huh, sure.

Arrow is probably better than that was anyway.

Do I have to cut a *****?! :cmad:

I'm sorry. I couldn't hear you over the sound of the show that got a full season pickup

:argh:

I like Arrow too, you know...
