Well, that plus the writer has been with Parks since season 2.

Watched Cristela again yesterday and I'm just not really digging it, again the jokes are mostly racial or putdowns and the writing is cliche, only thing worth watching for is to see sexy Maria Canals Barrera.

Mulaney's episode order got cut from 16 to 13. Surprisingly, at almost a month into the fall season, that's the closest we've gotten to a cancellation so far.

it ain't enough... :o

I'm sure it'll end sooner if/when the ratings get worse.

I bet they wish they didn't get rid of American Dad now for this show.

American Dad! was sacrificed for Bordertown and because they were scrapping the Animation Domination block.

But, yes... American Dad! deserved another couple of years (at the very least) on FOX. But at least it's continuing on TBS.

I'm curious to see if these 15 episodes feel drastically different from the FOX run. We've lost Mike Barker, so I'm a little apprehensive.

Steve Coogan Replaces Philip Seymour Hoffman In 'Happyish'

Well, this bit of news gives us a range of mixed emotions. While we're sad we'll never get to see the dream team pairing of Philip Seymour Hoffman and Kathryn Hahn in the Showtime series "Happyish," due the actor's tragic passing, the show is back in the works. And with another talent we really like, who brings a different set of tools to the equation. Steve Coogan has signed on replace Hoffman, with Hahn in talks to return to show too.

The show has been slightly rejiggered and will now focus on "Thom Payne, a 44 year-old man whose world is thrown into disarray when his 25-year-old 'wunderkind' boss arrives, saying things like 'digital,' 'social' and 'viral.' Is he in need of a 're-branding,' as his mentor insists, or does he just have a 'low joy ceiling,' as his corporate headhunter suggests? Maybe pursuing happiness is a fool’s errand? Maybe, after 44 years on this ludicrous planet, settling for happyish is the best one can expect."

Production on the pilot will begin next month, and we'll gladly take a Coogan/Hahn pairing.

Mulaney is so unnatural. It feels like actors setting each other up for jokes rather than friends having weird conversations and making small problems into a big issue like Seinfeld.
Louie is the evolution of the Seinfeld model, while this show is just sad and pathetic.

‘Frankenstein’ Drama From Rand Ravich & Howard Gordon Set At Fox As Put Pilot
by Nellie Andreeva

Howard Gordon, Rand Ravich, Frankenstein. Fox has nabbed a drama project that links the three recognizable names with a put pilot commitment. Titled Frankenstein, the drama will be written and executive produced by Crisis and Life creator Ravich and executive produced by Homeland and Tyrant executive producer Gordon.

Described as a grounded sci-fi drama, Frankenstein brings Gordon back to his genre roots of The X-Files, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel. Taking inspiration from the basic Mary Shelley mythology of a man brought back to life by scientists playing god, Frankenstein centers on Adam Tremble, a morally corrupt FBI agent who is given a second chance at life when he is brought back from the dead. Now younger and stronger, Tremble will have to choose between his old temptations and his new sense of purpose — dealing with threats beyond the FBI’s capabilities. All the while navigating the complicated relationship with his “creators”: an antisocial Internet billionaire and his bio-engineer twin sister.

20th TV and Gordon’s studio-based Teakwood Lane Prods. produce, with the company’s Hugh Fitzpatrick serving as co-executive producer.

Ravich, who has a development deal with 20th TV, also has sci-fi background; he wrote and directed the 1999 feature thriller The Astronaut’s Wife. He is with CAA and 3 Arts.

This marks Teakwood Lane Prods.’ second put pilot commitment this season; the company also has a detective drama at CBS with writer Jim Wong. Gordon is with WME.
