You never should have expected this season to be the last season of Supernatural. They've made it clear that as long as the fans support it they will give it seasons.

I heard the end of season 5 was the end he'd always planned. And then it just kinda kept on going. Much like how Smallville set up everything it needed to by season 7, but then...

With that in mind, I guess I was hoping that the mess of CW renewals might at long last include a "final season" proviso for a couple of their longest running IPs like Bones did. It's not like the network is hurting for successful shows, seeing as they're bringing back pretty much all of 'em.

ABC has cancelled its ambitious swords-and-sandals drama Of Kings and Prophets after two disastrously rated episodes, TVLine has learned. Beyond the Tank will take over the show’s Tuesday-at-10/9c timeslot beginning March 22 (aka next week).
