More than likely, it's been cancelled since the premiere numbers came in. They were just going to run all the episodes before yanking it off the air. Guess they changed their minds about that last part.

There's still 6 episodes they haven't aired though.

Jessica Lucas can't catch a break on these TV shows. lol

Jessica Lucas will catch her break sometime. Katie Cassidy finally did and it took her like 4 years.

Though I dont know why when networks pull a show, why they dont just make the last remaining episodes available online or on itunes. They already paid for them so not as if they are losing anymore money.

ETM shut it. God, I'm so sick of your crap.

Well to be fair, I should stop hating on NBC. Cause I think they are gonna actually finish in 3rd place ahead of ABC for a second year in a row.

I'm not 100% clear on the facts, so I may be wrong, but NBC is eying a spin-off of Chicago Fire. Why? It's only been on for a season, and isn't a big hit, even though it's done decent enough for a pick up for season 2.

And if I am being honest, the only thing NBC fails at big time is comedies. Same with FOX. Just look at the numbers. I like 1600 Penn, would had enjoyed a second season, but just awful numbers. I don't think NBC knows how to market comedies.

You can hate NBC all you want, their decision-making certainly deserves it, but Hannibal is quality ****. They should be commended for letting them do their thing to begin with.

For whatever it is worth, this cool site says...likely renewal, but could change.

Also, SyFy....renews a thing called Being Human. I feel awful, outside of the S3 debut, i have the entire season on DVR to watch.

I finally got around to watching that today.

Holy hell was that good. NBC finally got themselves another winner (that's gonna get screwed).

NBC is desperate that's why. I saw that it might be Law & Order: Chicago since Dick Wolf is involved. The original L&O just became too costly as everyone gets raises and the rights go up after every new deal. They tried LA but maybe Chicago works and they stick one of the recurring characters from Fire into the show.

As for their comedy failures, it is a bit of marketing, scheduling and the final product.

Their new comedies that debuted this fall had great to good numbers, people just didn't like the product. They botched the debut of 1600 Penn with airing the pilot in December and then having the series start in January. Thursday nights are terrible ratings wise plus it wasn't that good. Lots of potential, if it had half the writing staff 30 Rock did it would be in good shape.

Comedy pilots aren't that great as they have to introduce the characters, the plot and still be funny in 20 minutes. Dramas get 43 minutes, a big budget and the pilot can be one of the best episodes of the first season.

New Girl had 10 million viewers for their series premiere which was incredible but they're now down to over 3 million. That's partly because of weak early episodes, bad scheduling and DVRing.

Law and Order: Chicago would be nice. SUV is up there in age. And L&O is a NBC Franchise.

1600 Penn got better as season 1 went on. I swear one episode towards the end, perhaps middle of season 1 looked...out of place. Like they had hand held cameras only for filming that episode. Visually it looked out of place from the rest of the series episodes.

New Girl Tuesday did a weak 2.2/6 with 4.09 million viewers.

The Mindy Project is now doing close to Breaking In season 1 and 2 numbers demo and viewers wise. It is renewed for a second season...

I got the complete series dvd of Breaking In...haven't found the time to watch the final 6 episodes. Too much DVR, looking for a job, other things. I find time in the summer though, less series will be on.

TMP is also probably a lot cheaper to produce than Breaking In was.

I only watched the first episode of Chicago Fire, and didn't bother with the rest because I thought it was nothing new or special.

But to get a spinoff after the first season?! :wow:

There are a couple of shows I'm interested in that are worryingly missing from this article. :(

It's actually a pretty good show if you liked stuff like ER and Third Watch, but I didn't think the numbers were strong enough to warrant a spin-off, plus I can't actually see where they have planted a spin-off unless it's the cop stuff with Dawson's brother and the corrupt cop Boyt.

That's one of the reasons I didn't keep watching. It wasn't anything i hadn't seen before. Or, at least, presented in some original way.

It was the opposite for me, I miss the older type of drama that wasn't gimmicked up or features some kind of sci fi or fantasy element, nice throwback.

I don't think he wants to come back. Which I couldn't blame him.

Why? They gave him good material.

I just think he wants to do more and not play 2nd fiddle to the big 3 always worrying about Elena.

Eh. I guess that's fair. Plus, he's a leading man type if I've ever seen one... hope he finds something that sticks.

Well we all know that CW likes to keep it in the family so I am sure they will hook him up with something sooner or later if he doesn't find anything outside the network.
