Can't get over how awesome the final battle is.

This was my favorite film last year. Captured the spirit of a comic book very well. Perfect blend of comedy, action, and drama.

But I just can't get over the final fight. Almost a whole year and I still during it. I just watched it again today on DVD and it just starts out so perfectly. I'll tell you, the music helps it tremendously. When Hulk starts walking, ripping his shirt off, then Abomy starts running=awesome. There's no bull**** dialogue scenes. Sure, in Spider-Man and Batman that's great. But two monsters don't need to have a cup of tea and discuss. Abomy says lines but nothing that takes more than a minute. The fight flows so fast and brutally.

Anyone else feel this is one of the best final fights in a comic book film?

Right there with you. I love this fight scene. It really shows that the Hulk is the best when he gets angry enough. My only criticism is that the cg looked a little rushed after Hulk pommeled Abom with the police car. Regardless, this battle delivered for me, and it still does.

Superman 2 had more impact then that and were talking over 20 somthing years ago.
Not only that but every freakin time I see the advertisement for the movie on DVD.
And they show Hulk swinging of off the fire escapes or whatever.I get sooo pissed off.He's not freakin Daredevil!!!!
He looks like he is going to shoot some web or somthing.
It's soo freakin stupid!!!!!!!

agreed, in reality if Hulk weighs as much as he does, that fire escape would have fallen off.

I want to see Hulk versus Onslaught in a film one day. That was a cool fight.

the whole film was based around some epic fight and in reality, it wasn't worth the final billing

poor fight, poor dynamic, lack of physical confrontation between them and a silly choke out to win a battle.

it's the equivalent of ali taking a dive in the first round in the thrilla in manilla.

did i even miss the lack of feats of strength. or they showed all the good bits on youtube before the film was released?

it hurts my head to even think about it. What makes it worse is when hulk and thor fight, if it is anything like this, it'd be terrible.

... thank you, the final fight is just really sad to watch IMO. The CG is just bad, the fight as a whole is nowhere near as brutal as it should have been, just plain average IMO.

abomination gets knocked out because he trapped his foot in a crack and had a swinging boulder fall on his head. Then he got choked out. Choked out with a chain which should have broken under the force anyway

It wasn't bad, just not as good as it could've been. I liked the movie but I was a little disappointed with the final battle because they hyped up the whole movie but this awesome showdown and it was just ok.

his fight with fraser in manilla is depicted as the greatest boxing match of all time. They both nearly collasped of exhaustion in the penultimate round, they beat the crap out of each other

that's what people would expect to see when you watch abomination vs hulk, the dive would be a real world equivalent of TIH with regards to that bout.

A fight with just punching back and forth=dumb. They tackled, punched, kicked, threw, blew stuff up, car boxing gloves, pinned etc. It was all there.

it doesn't excuse it. Esepcially if the character's speciality is rage based fighting and being an unstoppable force.

you place an immovable object against an unstoppable force and that should have been the premises for the fight.

what we got instead was tame and lame.

superman throws island sized kryptonite into space and the hulk gets this...lol. TIH's hulk would get destroyed. A real waste.

Well, I'm a Hulk fan, and the action in TIH, including the final fight, was something I was very satisfied with. I have no complaints there. In fact, I thought TIH had the best action of all the summer films in '08.
Any complaints I had with the film were in story elements, and they aren't that grand of complaints. But the action...very happy.

It seems like a lot of people here are nit-picking for the sake of it.
