I can't believe the decade is almost over!

Speaking of high school...it's insane that my 10th Anniversary reunion will be next year. :csad:

I can't say HS feels like yesterday. Some things do feel like yesterday while others, well, feel like 10 years ago. lol. I think it depends on which events are on your mind most frequently. I mean...sitting in Alegebra feels like a decade ago but hanging with friends does feel like yesterday.

College is worse though. That definitely feels like yesterday. I graduated in 2004 and well...2004 in general feels like yesterday. How the hell did we get to 2009?:csad:

I think alot has happend in these 9 years

Well, the important ones were good. Batman, Spider-Man, X-Men, The Incredible Hulk. Ghost Rider? Who cares about Ghost Rider?

Nah, thats not sad. I read the books, too. Heck, the teacher read it to us in class. I even memorized the day it came out. June 11, 1993 thank you very much. :o

Batman, loved them. Spider-Man 1 and 2, loved them. Spider-Man 3, could have done without. X-Men, I kinda have mixed feelings about all of them, but I agree that the first two were the best. Hulk, well, the first one could have been a lot better, and the second one, could have been a lot better. I believe that the perfect Hulk origin movie would have been a hybrid of the two. F*** Ghost Rider. But you forgot about Iron Man.

Your teacher read you Jurassic Park in class?! WOW! Do you remember Jurassic Park III? Cos I don't. I don't remember a thing about it, not a single solitary thing.

See, I forgot Iron Man! A great movie! There were a lot of really good comic movies this decade. Truly, the reason I'm not in a padded room.

Actually, the teacher only read few chapters before she turned on a Book on Tape. There really wasnt much worth remembering in JP3. The Spino/Rex fight was cool, but much too short.

What's your favourite all-time comic movie?

Cant name just one. I like The Dark Knight, Iron Man and Batman Returns. I liked all of the Spider-Man movies, but as time has gone on, the first seems kinda "childish" (for lack of a better word, maybe shallow), the second was dull and the third was cluttered.

The Dark Knight's my favourite, even though I feel it has many flaws. I can't see what anyone would like about Batman Returns, apart from Catwoman obviously. Can't see what anyone would like about Spider-Man 3. Can't see what anyone would not like about the first two.

Someone who shares my love of Batman Returns. :word:

Catwoman has little to do with it. I'm not into the S&M thing. I like the dark, gothic feel of Batman Returns. Love it. :woot: Yes, I know its not "the real Batman" and Penguin isnt a mutated freak in the comics. I dont care.

Uncle Ben's killer being the Sandman I didnt care for, but its not like the change was forced onto the comics. If that happened, I'd be screaming bloody murder. I loved the dynamic between Harry and Peter. The mansion fight is my favorite of the series. Yes, Venom didnt get much screen time but I'm ok with that. He should never have been in the movie anyway. He's getting his own movie, so that will make up for his late arrival in SM3. Venom has always been a one note character. He stalks Spidey, threatens to eat his brain, then gets the crap kicked out of him. Meh.

To each his own.

I was 12 when Jurassic Park came out. My family and I arrived late and missed the beginning, but I enjoyed the rest of the movie so much I went home and read the book about 7 times afterwards. Sad, huh? And we rented the video as soon as it came out.

I first read the novel when I was around 10 years old. I didn't understand most of the scientific jargon then, but I still liked it. Since then, I've read it at least once or twice a year. It's become a personal tradition of sorts.

June 11th, 1993, May 19th, 2005, and July 18th, 2008 should all be made into national holidays.

Blair Witch Project, American Beauty, The Matrix

Ten years ago now...

On a darker note, ten years since Columbine.

On another darker note, ten years since Shakespeare in Love beat Saving Private Ryan,.

Well...obviously. We went from 9/11 to Iraq to recession. On a positive note, we got our first Black President. But everything happened rather quickly.

Dont forget Katrina.

I hope Obama will get things on track, but he has a lot on his plate. Even if he were an absolute wunderkind, he'd have a hard time. I voted for him, I just dont see him as the second coming.

I saw a drama once called The Second Coming. It starred Christopher Eccleston as God. At the end of it, [BLACKOUT]God committed suicide because he was taught that the world didn't need him any more, and would probably in fact be better off without him[/BLACKOUT].

Come on, is it so rare..? I even own the dvd. Pfeiffer playing Catwoman, DeVito playing the Penguin and Walken playing.. himself. How can you lose? :hehe:

Any respect I might one day have had for you is now lost.

May 19th, 2005 - Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

Oh yeah, that s***. I was only interested in Batman Begins that year.
