Can't get over how awesome the final battle is.

Of course, you would say 'nit-picking' because you enjoyed it. I didn't. I thought it was lacklustre at best.

webhead, if you make a thread complimenting anything in the Marvel flicks these days, especially fight scenes, you can be guaranteed complainers shall flock to thy thread. And November Rain is guaranteed to be one of them, too :oldrazz: :cwink: But he's still a great guy.

Personally I liked the final battle in TIH.

=(

I know. I'm a pessimist myself, but if I'm impressed I am.

in the recent hulk vs films, he destroys an entire base and also ****s up every last member of asgard without missing a beat.

he nearly kills thor TWICE

i know that's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over on the other side of the spectrum but we went from tank throwing super rage of TAKE IT ALLLL, to hanging off helicopters and gimmick car gloves.

the studios put a leash on the ultimate embodiment of freedom.

it just doesn't work.

his fight with fraser in manilla is depicted as the greatest boxing match of all time. They both nearly collasped of exhaustion in the penultimate round, they beat the crap out of each other

that's what people would expect to see when you watch abomination vs hulk, the dive would be a real world equivalent of TIH with regards to that bout.
So just for the record your saying there was no dive right???

Okay I read it again I got what you mean.
An Ali dive would have been the equivalent.
Igot it.

You know what it is.They were so concerned about action.that they made him an action hero Swinging and hanging of off helicopters.Instead of an unstoppable machine of destruction.Which by the way they seem to be following the same formula with Wolvering hanging off of a Helicopter and swinging around.
You mean to tell me no one see's a problem when the Hulk is fighting a fight like Wolverine.
Look at the Wolverine trailer he is basically doing the same thing.
And you know what that's okay for Wolverine but not the Hulk.

The combined weight of Abobmination and Hulk should have brought that Helicopter down instantly and then Abobmination should have thrown the friggin thing at the Hulk.
Even iron Monger threw a car at Iron man.Geezz!!!!

No one is complaing about the chain it is the unconsistancy of strength.
Hulk should have grabbed the chain and have it broken in his hands.

He should have then punched Abob.Threw a building have Abob.Grab Betty which infurates the Hulk and get stronger and then have Hulk break his freakin' neck arm or somthing. So much potential for that fight was lost and toned down.

Oh and all the while. While they are fighting have the police and military shoot at them and try to save people as building fall and puches fly.

Hello just a little intensity here!!!!

it just lacked epicness. and scale, it lacked a sense of granduer...

This was my favorite film last year. Captured the spirit of a comic book very well. Perfect blend of comedy, action, and drama.

But I just can't get over the final fight. Almost a whole year and I still  during it. I just watched it again today on DVD and it just starts out so perfectly. I'll tell you, the music helps it tremendously. When Hulk starts walking, ripping his shirt off, then Abomy starts running=awesome. There's no bull**** dialogue scenes. Sure, in Spider-Man and Batman that's great. But two monsters don't need to have a cup of tea and discuss. Abomy says lines but nothing that takes more than a minute. The fight flows so fast and brutally.

Anyone else feel this is one of the best final fights in a comic book film?

:bh:

Yeah. Hulk vs A-Bomb and Blade vs Frost are two of my favorite final battles.

butt overload

I love the final fight in IH. Until the choke out, the CGI was masterful. It looks like they ran out of time or money and just had to live with the CG in that scene.

Leave a majority of the deleted scenes in the movie and they would've had the perfect film.

I loved it from beginning to end, gonna watch it again this weekend ......thanks webhead :bh:

I liked all the action in The Incredible Hulk. Yes it could have been better but it isn't as bad as some people are saying. The Harlem Brawl was great but I do have to admit when they released the police car boxing gloves scene on the internet (even in 1080p HD!!) I was excited as hell! I thought the action was gonna be off the hook but when I saw the film there was no other big jaw dropping scenes after the boxing glove scene. So I was a little unimpressed but I was still very satisfied with the overall product.

But I do have to mention in Edward Norton's leaked first draft of The Incredible Hulk, the final battle was much more brutal and longer. Hulk and Abomination had a real fist fight, fought inside a shopping mall, used the environment as weapons. Some real cool stuff but I guess time and money was a big factor so the fight was changed.

I can totally see people's dissapointment in this fight, as I was dissapointed in it as well. Only 2 moments made the hair stand up on the back of my neck and that was when Hulk finally over-powered Abom strength wise and then subsequently the thunder-clap. Other than those 2 moments, the fight was a bit of a let down, the Helicopter simply shouldnt have been involved, minimally if at all.

A better brute vs brute fight for me is Mr Wink vs Hellboy in Hellboy 2. For a good portion of the fight they just take turns punching each other and seeing if they can take it, awesome.

True. Those deleted scenes of Ross, Samson, Banner and Betty would have made the film much better.

The deleted scenes on disc one were stupid, but disc 2's should have stayed. The part at the table where Bruce laughs at some corny Samson joke, then breaks out into tears was great.

Of course, fans will start using their favorite word, "emo".

That scene above all, as well as the original opening, should definately have stayed, Bruce breaking down because he is engaging in lite conversation for the first time in a while would have been a great scene to keep in the movie, as it just would have shown how difficult his life had become.

The opening was good, but I hope that was unfinished CGI because it wasn't that good compared to the rest of the film.

I just re-watched the final battle today and DAYUM!!!!!! That scene was amazing!

It probably wasnt finished but I thought it looked good enough to be honest.

The scene wasn't finished that is why it didn't make the theatrical cut. They then tried to finish the scene for the DVD/Blu-Ray release but I guess it was still unfinished.

The arctic scene wasn't as great as I thought it'd be. . . it just seemed better on paper.

The music was the best thing about it. Armstrong's score doesn't get enough love imo.
