In about 23 hours (on the East coast) it'll be 2009, the final year of this decade. Is it just me or were these the fastest 9 years ever?! I can't speak for the `80s. I was a little kid and didn't care much. However...the `90s...seemed like forever to me. But this decade...wow...it flew. :csad:

The older you get the fast time goes by. The last decade has flown by. 1990 and 2000 seemed worlds apart. Now ten years ago felt like it just happened.

I know whenever I see something from like 2003 I'm like that was 5 years ago? It seems like it was months. This year went by really fast for me.

It's like from "Ms Jackson" Forever seems like a long time till your grown.

& since Bush was in office. Thank god for time flying.

hahaha. That's the only positive thing I see from all this. However, in all seriousness, while it's great to FINALLY have Bush out of office the damages he made is something we'll have to live with for a few years. Obama can't fix everything over-night. So...I wouldn't start celebrating just yet.

I'm still living in the 90s. :csad:

lol. Parts of me are still in the `90s. I have to be honest. Like, for example, I'm probably one of the few people who still buys CDs. :o But...other than that...I'm very 21st century.

Sad but true dude?...Sad but true.:csad:

But...if anything...Bush was what slowed down this decade. It's like...being in a boring class where time seems to slow down cause you're constantly looking at the clock. To me Bush was like, "when the hell is this guy gonna leave" so his administration seemed like 20 years to me. lol.

It's been 24 years since we've had a president who wasn't a Bush or a Clinton.

This whole "time flying" thing is something I've been having trouble with lately.

Time is going by so fast, and despite my young age (I'm only 25), I'm having a hard time dealing with the fact that one day, there is going to come a time that my parents will be gone, my older brother will be gone, maybe my friends, and eventually, me. I've never been successful in accepting my own mortality, nor that of others close to me, and it's been something stuck on my mind recently, a thought that I can't seem to shake.

lol. I'm bad at math and even I know that's wrong. George H.W. Bush became President in 1989. So, it's been 19 years not 24.

Oops... my bad. I forgot that Bush Sr didn't serve two terms.

The wow factor still remains being that we need change.

this whole decade has gone by so fast, yet, i'm completly different than i was 2000 when i was 20. I wonder what things will be like in another decade. I'm still waiting for flying cars and stuff.

Another decade without commerically available laser pistols, genetic augmentation, cybernetic implants, or moon bases.

But at least we have that damn BK body spray. Thanks science, **** you too.

Damn, I remember 2000 like it was yesterday. Hard to believe that was almost ten years ago.

Yea I completely agree with what everyone is saying...times flys when you're getting over. I can remember stuff that happened in 2003, 2005 hell even 2000 like it was a week ago! I still get dumbfounded when they say stuff happened 5 years ago and I'm like BS!

I can't believe it either. The best year of this decade was 2002, in my opinion. I'm glad this crappy decade is almost over.

This was not a good year at all (besides TDK, of course).... I hope 2009 is like 1999, man, now that was a good year. Good times, man, good times.

Holy crap... I can't believe its been 10 years... Its been 10 YEARS! 10 years since Episode 1 came out... 10 years since all of those great memories... Where did the time go? I'm too young to be feeling like this.... I mean, really... I am too young.

gosh....your right...its gone by fast...my brain process things from the late 90s as if they were as recent as Spider-man 3

Yeah, on the one hand, you are getting older, on the other hand, society moves at a faster pace now than it did. Technology probably has an influence on how you preceive time. In the eighties, and even ninties, it took longer to research information, call someone, find your favorite comic character, etc. Now every day seems to bring some hot new thing with it, and technology has made it so we are always connected. That, I think, in large part, has changed things. When I look back over the things I've done and what has happened to me personally, it has been a long time, but it's been to the backdrop of a very fast moving world.

That is illogical. Time always passes at the same rate.

The best year of this decade was 2002
