Yes! Perfect shot.

Also, on a new suit, I'd like to see the cape actually come together around the neck, rather than just being draped over like it is in BB and TDK, so he can actually wrap it around himself without looking hideously awkward.
Totally agree. I would love to see the cape draped over his shoulder like the B 89' suit did. Of course, Nolan's realism wouldn't let that happen because batman has to move his shoulders.

You're not seriously saying you'd rather Batman not be able to move his shoulders, are you?
I'd rather have the iconic image of the cape draped around him than Batman thechnically not being able to easily get the cape over his shoulders in real life, a problem easily fixed by clever filmmaking.

I think Sandouras is right, widen the mouth back out, raise the nose up and thicken the neck by 2 or 3% and it would look sweet.

Maybe you realize this, but you didn't shorten the nose. You just got rid of the shadow under the nose, so this is how it actually looks. But you've shown that without that shadow it looks better.

Bale's nose is not that big, and they should be making the cowl's nose as small as possible to accomodate it. It looks like they think making his nose look bigger is better for some reason?

And as for the ovalness of the cowl, the solution is not to expose more of Bale's mouth, but to make the cowl's jaw squared instead of rounded.

I don't know, maybe this does just happen to be a poor shot for whatever reason. But it's kind of curious that the trailers show so much closeups of the Joker, yet practically no closeups of Batman (besides this one), whose appearance should be no surprise, unlike say Two-Face's. It's as if they've realized too late that the cowl looks bad and they want to keep it out of the trailers.

It's almost as if Louise Mingenbach got her nasty little hands all over it.

Come July 18th, this stupid rants about the suit (nothing personal) will come to an end. The suit will work.

Id rather Batty be mobile and take a hit on the suit design than him look classic and move around like a GD cardboard cut-out... No offense to Spawn but thats one of the reasons I didnt particularly like the way Spawn looked in the flick... the guy moved around like he was chiseled outta friggin GRANITE.

ya I am willing to spare looks for mobility.

I don't understand how anyone can think looks and mobility are two mutually exclusive entities. Musclesuit underneath and then some sort of cloth or thin rubber skin on it. Superman Returns did it.

Also, Spawn was made in 1997. That's 11 years of progress in material and design research.

well I am talking if it was one or the other. It could easily be both, unfortunately I haven't really seen anything that really utilize mobility and maintain a very similar look to the comics.

I also like TDK suit so I am as happy as a clam.

Snake Eyes from the new G.I. Joe movie looks *very* close to the comics Batman. I cannot comment on the mobility of the suit they're using, but I seriously doubt it's worse than the Begins' suit.

I know, Im just sayin it bugged me that he had such a lack of mobility.

Eh, i always thought the whole way he turned his entire body instead of just his neck was kinda cool.

Ugh....thought snake-eyes looked like a huge piece of solid low-budget rubber.

Yea but watching certain scenes when you could tell he was unable to move his head around kinda took me outta the movie.
