Well I think the suit actually looks good there. About the nose, Isn't it the same nose like i nthe begins cowl/mask?
I remember that in some of the promo pics for BB the nose looked like that to. I like that the suit looks black in that shot even with the lit up room.

I love the suit, but the cowl looks ridculous from certain angles. They should be able to use the best angles when they edit the film. Fingers crossed.

For some reason, the Begins suit looks primitive to me now. The new suit is better in a lot of ways, other than the way his head looks at certain angles.

Both cowls don't look good upfront. If you noticed in Batman Begins, there's barely any scenes where you can see the cowl straight on. It's always at a slight angle. For example, look at the Gordon/Batman scene in Batman Begins.

Other than that, they look okay.

here's a side by side comparison, i think the narrower mouth opening and lack of a huge neck bring out the fact that bats has a beaky nose. i'm sure they're the same size on both cowls.

Definitely prefer the new layered suit compared with the old slab though, but I couldn't really care less either way

I have to admit it looks bad in this shot. Weird how it looks awesome in some shots but lame in others. The should have just widened the neck a bit so it wouldn't make him look so puny.

The neck is fine, they just made the head waaaay too thick. The cheeks, the nose, everything. I think making the sides (ears) go straight up, (like Neal Adams/Jim Lee style) instead of curving in, would help.

As much as I hate that Bats gets a new costume in every movie, I really hope they tweak this one for the third.

I like the new suit, and it's armor-like functionality and appearance...I just feel like it's missing something...Maybe a belly button just above the utility belt...OR- better yet, it needs to be anatomically correct...Bat-esticles...Rubber grafted into a sack, of course...

Yeah, I wish they'd just leave the costumes alone. It's totally unnecessary, IMO.

I'm sorry, but they screwed up the cape and the cowl. Two of the most important aspects of the batsuit.

That interrogation room shot looks absolutely horrendous.

All they had to do was fix some of the bunching on the Begins suit and darken a few areas and it would've been a damn good suit. Bunch of stupid heads.

And tweak the cowl's design so it didn't give off the egg-head appearance.

But I agree with you. The batsuit in BB just needed minor changes and it would have been fine.

Some still shots in Begins looked off, as well. But they had a ton of people working on this suit. If it didn't work IN THE FILM, and in motion, I'm sure they'd have fixed it.

I don't like the neck in the stills I have seen either. I'm with you on the interrogation room shots, which look really weak. But lots of eyes have been on this for a long time, and they have a good grasp of the character. So I have to believe this will work, until I can see it does not. So far, the glimpses of Batman in motion from the trailers look OK.

In the next film, I'd be perfectly happy if he pulls a dark grey jersey with a black bat shape over all this stuff he wears. Special made fabric of some sort, woven Kevlar or something.

BTW, did anyone see the guy flying around with that jet-powered wing the other day? Wow. Lucius Fox needs to jump on THAT and give it to Wayne in the next film.

Darkened what parts? The cowl which it seems they have...the gauntlets were actually darker on the BB suit, but the gloves could have been darker. Now it appears to be the inverse the gloves are dark and the gauntlets aren't. The symbol has been all but eliminated hasn't it, and that could have been made darker to stand out. Also the boots seem to have been darker already on the BB suit. I would actually have prefered if the entire suit was darker for TDK rather than some of the grey/darker grey/black elements.
