Is this your reason for living? Spreading outlandish insults that have no effect on the person you are attempting to hurt. Is this your purpose?

I feel sorry for you. :csad:

He must not know that Saint if he thinks that a childish insult will quiet him...

Dude Saint, I respect you for how many good posts youve posted that Ive read and that your a Hype veteran but I honestly could care less how you feel about anything concerning TDK, or anything else in general, I mean are you actually serious? I am by no means making any attempt at changing your mind let alone anyone elses mind about the suit or anything else. You need to get this straight, that I dont need to do anything at all to make you content with my posts or anyone else for that matter, if you dont like my posts dont read them or block me. You actually think I would take advice from you on how to post on these boards? If I did then I would be writing three page long essays on an issue that can be discussed within one paragraph, which by the way most people wont read anyways. The post you keep reffering to wasnt even directed at you, so if you enjoy pretending to be the Hype's personal security guard to tell posters what they can and cannot do, or how they should post correctly, then feel free but Im not going to take you seriously, ill probably just laugh at you. Like I said in the beginning of this post, I respect you as a bat-fan, and a fellow poster of the Hype and for SOME of the good meaningful posts Ive seen from you on here, but other than that I could really care less what you say my friend. :yay:
about time! :applaud

Can we calm down, guys? Just forget about whatever whoever's fighting about and move on back to topic?

ah...hobo....still here...im waiting
by the way the suit looks bad ass;-)(just for beeing on topic.....);-)

Aye, the lame insults are uncalled for...

Oiy calls 'em how oiy seems 'em.

The juvenile pettiness over the last couple of pages needs to go.

finally a mod steps in...i always thought: how long will it take...thank you, thank you, thank you

Hello Everyone. I am new at posting but have been reading the boards for a long time. I thought I would contribute to the Batsuit discussion.

While the DK suit is not exactly what I was hoping for when they announced a new design, I applaud their intention to improve Batman’s mobility. If he is noticeably more agile in this film, I will probably forgive many issues with the suits appearance. I believe a fast-moving and dexterous Dark Knight will be very effective in action sequences. And I must say, in some shots the new suit does look tough!

About those legs: I too have wondered about the logic behind the “road-maps”. The most obvious reason behind that choice to me is that it combines protection with ventilation. I can imagine how hot those suits must be, (both for fictitious Batman and the real-life actors). My guess is that the mesh under-suit allows the skin to “breathe” while the added armor segments on top do just what they are intended to: protect. Yes, they are small segment of protction, not full sections of knight-like armor, but if I was going to wipe-out on a Bat-Pod, I would prefer SOME protection as opposed to nothing at all. So that is my best “read” on their choice for the legs. What do you think?

It isn't the basic concept that fails, it just the execution. Typically, as a concept is improved upon and refined, it becomes more simplified and practical. Why the TDK Batsuit needs to incorporate more separate pieces with added textures and detailing is beyond me. If the Begins suit was just ill conceived and impractical to begin with, that would be different. As far as I can tell though, it was incredibly durable and practical already. You'd think Bruce would want to build on that rather than start completely from scratch.

"Ventilation" is the first theoretically plausible and halfway-decent explanation for the leg business. That said, it doesn't necessitate being ugly nonsense and, frankly, I'd rather the actor be a little warmer than have an ugly suit.

i think that was awesome

I never even thought about that mesh being for ventilation
brilliant!

If it is for ventilation in the context of the movie, they should address it briefly.

"Ventilation, Master Wayne?"

"Suffocating frightens me."

Ventilation is a new one. I certainly hope the decision wasn't made for an aesthetic appeal, because it's woeful. If it were purely for protective purposes, the shaping would contour to the thigh better. I just hope some usefulness of the design is alluded to the film; improved stuntwork, greater demonstration of flexibility, something.

Im confident that the design will be of use in the movie in some way. I find it hard to believe that it wont have any useful function.
